"Upside , Hotel was a beautiful historic inn and bed was comfy and claw foot tub bath enjoyable. Charming little town. Downside, no staff at all. You had to do everything for yourself which would be fine except they were out of Coffee and you had to find out all that from another guest that was there who had to call to find that out. Some written instructions and organizing would be helpful. "

"The price was great - I was coming down the hill from Donner Lake and wanted one more night before hitting the valley. I chose this place. I got there a little bit earlier than checkin time but since my room was ready, they gave it to me anyway and didn't make me wait. The staff are helpful and polite and friendly, every single one I encountered. My room/bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and the water was hot. I also ate dinner at their restaurant and the server was friendly...

"It's such a cute place. Our room was nice and felt so homey. Love the jetted tub, and there is a very nice hiking/biking trail right in front, too. My only complaint would be that the mattresses were a little hard for my liking. I will be coming back for sure. "
