"I wanted to like this place because I visit the Alex theater often and its close, but we had a horrble first impression and visit. I arrived at 11:30 am and asked for early check in (I had been driving all morning and needed to use the restroom) the staff member told me if I waited till 12 there was no early check in fee and I could use the lobby bathroom while I waited. I did and we sat in the car for the 30 min. Went back in, a new staff members shift started told her what the lady with the black hair told me she said no its no fee at 1pm. They called the manager who seemed to know which staff member I was referring to and told me I had to pay it or wait till 1. (Very rude with an attitude by the way) I told her I wasted my time and could have just checked in when I arrived if it was the same fee. Seemed more like the first staff member just didn't want to check me in and had me wait till their shift ended or something. Whatever, I paid the fee. We got to the room and it was outdated, had tons of water damage, and the vents were filled with thick black dust and lint (proably a fire hazard which is scary because the sprikler system looked rusted and damaged). On top of that, someone on the floor was smoking pot which filled our room with the smell for 2 days. No judgement, to each their own, but it is not a smell I want to be surrounded with while on vacation. I brought it up to a staff member who pretty much told me oh well there is nothing we can do. True, I guess. "

"The sweet girl at the front desk was nothing other than friendly, kind and upbeat. However, the property itself was awful. The first room didn’t have working lights, asked if there was a trick to turning them on I didn’t know, and front desk just offered another room. Second room had lights, but beds were dirty, as well as bathroom. Property had parts and trash stashed under stairwells, and cardboard shoved in thermostats. It was pretty clear proper maintenance is not found there. The pics on their website were very misleading. And the area of the city was a bit sketchy. We ended up leaving for a different hotel. "

"Convenient location with tons of restaurants & shopping nearby. Quick drive to Universal studios & Crypto Arena. Would stay here again when visiting LA / Hollywood area. Donut shop next door was nice for a quick coffee & donut pickup. "
