"We had a lovely stay at the Sheraton. It’s at the quiet end of senggigi but easily walkable to get to other restaurants and shops in the village. The beach off the hotel is pretty, and the sea is nice but it’s quite a busy ocean area with jet skis and boats, but it’s charming and not noisy at all. The staff are all lovely and breakfast is great. Excellent pianist playing each morning too. The rooms are not new but they’re good size and everything works and is comfortable. The gym is decent too, and the swimming pool is incredible. Lovely place- would recommend it and will come back I’m sure. "

"A Hidden Gem in Lombok – Unforgettable Stay at Kalandara Resort Kalandara Resort is truly a slice of paradise in Lombok. The breathtaking view of the sea from the resort is simply magnificent – the perfect setting for a peaceful and luxurious getaway. The villa was impeccably clean, offering complete privacy, especially with the private pool and spacious layout. We especially loved the large bathtub – a perfect touch of indulgence! The food was a delightful highlight – a wonderful mix of traditional Indonesian flavours and an international selection including Japanese and Turkish cuisine. We also enjoyed the refreshing jamu served during our stay – a lovely cultural experience. What truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional service. Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shout-out to Wulan, Wulan Meiyi, Olivia, Wina, Najwa, and our kind and reliable drivers Ahyar and Emi – thank you for your warmth and hospitality. The transfers to and from the airport were smooth and comfortable, adding to the overall ease of the experience. "Fantastic place would highly recommend, huge pool and has a great beach area as well. Very friendly staff, we did a couple of the day trips by boat which was highly enjoyable. Very big rooms, everything was modern and the food menu was great"

"The rooms were very clean, with a comfortable bed plus a large ensuite with immediate hot water if required, and were promptly serviced each day. Though I had to wait 20 mins when I arrived as the night-desk guy couldn't find my prepaid booking, after that the staff couldn't have been pleasanter or more helpful. They also provided a quick, efficient laundry service. A small in-house warung may be open in season but it was closed during this visit, so I had to go out for all meals; I'd have appreciated a breakfast option. But cold beer was available on request. Other negatives probably apply to other hotels as well; but in particular: There was no desk or equivalent in my room, although iirc some booking sites said there was. When I asked, the staff did provide a small, low, round table, but I couldn't use it for the laptop work I wanted to do. All chairs in the room and on attached verandah were in the local style, solid wood surfaces with no cushions or upholstery, and quickly became very uncomfortable. Intermittently there was appreciable noise: from the PA system of a nearby mosque; from the main west coast road outside the hotel; and from a non-muffled two-stroke pump set that the hotel used daily to clear water from an underground chamber."
