"What fantastic hosts, who were welcoming and friendly and just fantastic to our group who arrived sopping wet from a day’s cycling and provided a last minute feast when we were let down by our evening dinner booking.
The rooms and facilities were perfect."

"We loved our stay. Clean and very large room with extra seating area and large bathroom. Very clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We walked the grounds and saw some seals swimming. We ordered an afternoon tea and had a little car trouble so we called to let them know we’d miss it and they packed up all the food for us to take with us the next day. So thoughtful. The bar and restaurant were great. The grounds and views are beautiful. It’s a little bit of a drive from anything else we’d planned to see in Scotland but worth it to slow down and enjoy the scenic grounds and castle. I highly recommend it. Stay at 2 nights to get the full benefit. One night isn’t enough to get the full castle away from it all feeling."
"Nice light bites evening menu, nice continental breakfast, hosts very friendly, good sellection in bar. Quirky little place. Our room it was just a shower hose in the bath but we managed Outside and beer garden could do with a tidy up. For the price it was ok"
"Hot.full breakfast was available through another hotel that was nearby and wonderful unexpected addition. Also wee breakfast available on site - awesome downtown location."
