Room was bigger than expected, bedding was super comfortable and was a nice change from the smaller rooms we had throughout japan. All amenities were accounted for too. Incredible lobby, very professional staff. Holds luggage for those who arrive before check-in

Very nice hotel on the river

Lovely hotel with nice view of the river and Gifu castle high up on the hill. It is in a good location for our out of town side trips. We would stay here again.

Room was clean and beautiful view of River and Gifu castle from my 8th floor. Complimentary breakfast was delicious with a great variety of cuisine, juices and coffee. Spa was great with hot tub, sauna, crystal clear pool and clean robes, towels etc. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Gifu anytime in the future.

Great view from my room, overlooking the river and the Gifu castle. The team was very helpful with booking activities. The decor might be a bit outdated, but it added to the charm. Great facilities (kudos to the gym team)

Great hotel in Gifu

Wonderful view of Gifu castle and the river if the room is on that side of the hotel. Staff was very helpful and kind. AC was good once we got it working, the space was good for 2 people. It was an easy walk to get to the path by the river.

The hotel is simply elegant. The staff is cordial and welcoming. Our room was spacious and well maintained. Buffet dining had ample and varied food options. The pool was very enjoyable and necessary equipment was provided. The amenities included were an amazing value!

Hotel is comfortable, with rooms being a good size. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Myself nor my 15 yr old daughter could not use the pool/fitness center due to policy of age and no tattoos but my son and mother in law did and they said it was great. A few too many rules to get in but they made out ok. All in all, the hotel was great and would recommend it.

Great spacious room with river and castle views. Excellent breakfast. 25m pool. TV system Japanese only. No hotel bar, nor mini bar. Restaurant closes at 9pm, last order 8.30. In house parking.

The room is spacious and with a view of Nagara river. Transportation is easy to use with at least four buses taking you along Kandamachi street towards Gifu station. There is a Family Mart 7 minutes by foot. You can walk to Gifu park. The hotel location is ideal for the Cormorant fishing event, visiting the quaint Kawaramachi, Gifu park with the tram to Gifu castle, visiting Gifu museum, Nawa insect museum, visiting the large Buddha, visiting the Ukai museum, walking along Nagara river, visiting Inaba shrine (visit at night and in the morning). Many places to see in Gifu. Also you can take a bus from Meitetsu Gifu station to Shirakawago, Kanayama, and many other places. The Miyako hotel is a beautiful hotel with a gorgeous lobby. The staff are kind, helpful and will call a taxi for you. I will return again and again.

Elegant hotel with large rooms. Wonderful pool, jacuzzi, outdoor tent saunas and indoor sauna and baths. Rooms that face the stadium while a sporting event is on going at night will find it very noisy and blinding outdoor lights. The breakfast buffet was ok, but the dinner buffet was very disappointing and way overpriced. Parking was convenient. It is a bit out of the way so going by car is recommended.

I stayed here in July and absolutely loved this hotel! The views from the rooms were beyond beautiful! It overlooks the mountains and river. The spa amenities were quite impressive. The pool, hot-tub, ice cold tubs were all impeccably clean. The temperature was perfect on all three. The beautiful changing rooms with vanities are a classy touch. The morning buffet had a great variety and was delicious! Most of the head staff spoke English. I can’t wait to stay there again.
