Nice experience with a newly renovated hotel
The hotel just finish the renovation at May, therefore everything is new and clean. The view from the room and balcony is fantastic. Staffs are helpful and nice, especially the young staffs. Overall, the experience is relaxing and cheerful.

The receptionists are good and friendly. The space of the room is good and well layout. Having problem with TV. The kettle inside was rusty. The tea pot was not cleaned after being used. The pillows were too hard and uncomfortable. The air conditioning unit blew out some dirts. We had to turn it off and open the window and balcony door instead.

The hotel was excellent with a lot of charm and absolutely stunning views. The staff were fantastic and very helpful and friendly. They went out of there way to make you feel at home and comfortable.

The staff could not have been better. Check in/out smooth and professional. I returned to my room in the midst of housekeeping’s visit and was incredibly impressed by the thoroughness of their work. 13 out of 10. Grand dame of Gib hotels still has it.

The property was incredible. The views from our room were second to none. The people were fantastic right from when we first arrived, all were helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. I honestly just can’t say enough about this property and Gibraltar in general what a fantastic and beautiful place yes it’s small but there’s so much to do and this property is truly a landmark. I compare it to the Plaza in New York the Royal York in Toronto true landmarks.

My stay was ok, but the wooden floors in the corridors to the rooms are a disaster and incredibly noisy. Also greeted with brown water from my shower so overall a dissatisfactory stay. I mentioned the 'brown water' when checking out, no hint of an apology or any form of compensation. Unfortunately this is just not good enough and I will be staying elsewhere when I next visit Gib

This is a classic older hotel but very well maintained and updated. Rooms are small and pricey, however the location is excellent and the staff are superb. It is a very short walk to the cable car and downtown. If you want the Gibraltar experience, this is the perfect choice for your hotel.

Kept hearing a bus pass by every 5 minutes overnight, despite wearing ear plugs. The room was warm and stuffy despite checking with front desk to ensure I had set the thermostat correctly at 18 degrees. Not a good night's sleep overall.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. The views were nice and the hotel food and service were very good. The front desk team went above b our expectations by holding our luggage while we toured and calling our taxi for us. Great people

Much better options in Gibraltar
Personal items taken from our room and despite asking many numerous times they were never found. One night in restaurant about a dozen young kids running around screaming for over 2 hours outside the eating area. Hotel never asked them to stop.paid for room upgrade and it advertised bath- no bath and extremely small bathroom. Could only get one person in at a time. For the cost and the extra cost to us of replacing our taken items extremely costly hotel and not worth it.

Proud of it's history but not chintzy
Junior suite was well sized with balcony views to enjoy over the Bay and Africa in the distance. Good double glazing throughout kept the room quiet, and cool with the air conditioning. Outdoor swimming pool and it's bar area was very relaxing. Hotel is refined and friendly, with a well deserved reputation for quality service over the years. The great and good have been choosing The Rock, so why not you? Date of visit. Late October

The hotel is very good but a bit longstanding. Excellent location, just few minutes walk from the cable cat station. Very good restaurant for dinner, breakfast however was basic.

Stay nowhere else in GIB !
I would not stay in any other hotel in GIB. The views are magnificent; for me the most outstanding feature of the hotel together with the proximity of the lovely Alameda Botanical Gardens and of course the historical context..The two Maitre'ds Natalya and Abdullah were outstanding ambassadors and provided excellent restaurant service which complemented the wonderful menus. My wife loved the pool and the gardens, but my only criticism is that crossing that busy main road to get to the pool is an accident waiting to happen. The hotel should invest in a simple pedestrian bridge. It would be a huge benefit !

Good in some places, not so any others
The staff were very friendly. However, the hotel is in need of a bit of TLC. I did have a problem with the maid service and as far as we didn’t need towels changing and followed their advice. However, they still change them. The toilet rolls were never replaced, and I had to go searching for some, the extractor in the bathroom didn’t work. I am informed all of this to the hotel

The hotel was very nice, receptionists were friendly, rooms were clean and food was good. It was a wonderful stay in Gibraltar, will definitely visit Rock Hotel again, everyone in this place is so nice. We had awesome customer service from everyone and I had to mention Abdellah Ghazi, this man was amazing, he gave one of the best customer service experience, good conversation and definitely care about his guests well being and comfort, such a great man Mr Ghazi. Thank you everyone, see you again when I visit Gibraltar.
