A nice place to stay for a couple of days in Ghent. The hotel is in a beautiful building with a nice view of the gardens through the bedroom window. It's convenient for the main tourist sites of the city, about ten minutes walk to the heart of the historic centre of town.We were a little disappointed to discover that the room had no safe, which is pretty standard in most places, which meant that we had to carry out passports etc around with us at all time. The only other issue that we had was that they were less than generous with the toiletries in the bathroom, one small bottle of shower gel between two people really isn't enough, and where other hotels may have apologised and gave us another bottle, reception wanted two euros for an extra bottle, so we popped into town and picked up a far larger bottle for about the same price.

The character and cleanliness was amazing. Unfortunately we stayed in a recent heat wave and with no air conditioning it was hot but we were able to ask the front desk for an extra fan which was a life saver. Really good place to stay - quiet and easy to get everywhere. Would stay here again for sure despite the heat wave

The room and bed was comfortable and a good size. I have to say though the actual building was not to my preference and felt like a very old school or prison building with long corridors. I found it difficult to find my room due to the size of the place and the size of building. However that could just be me!! Was very good location though.
