This was an absolutely delightful place to stay. Spectaculary renovated property with a completely unique, fabulous style. Every comfort considered, breakfasts that were beyond, and pastry chef treats with your evening tea. Katrina and Brenda are warm, gracious hosts who make you feel like welcome friends. We are so happy we were able to enjoy their outstanding hospitality and excellent tips for what to do in the area. A total delight!

We were tired from traveling for several days and wanted a nice place to rest for the night. The Oamaru Motor Lodge was perfect. It was spacious, had a comfortable king-sized bed, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The icing on the cake was the big jetted tub we enjoyed together. The studio was so nice, we could have stayed a week or more.
The hotel clerk was a very friendly man. The check-in process was nothing--literally. He got everything he needed from Expedia...

Steampunk character of the hotel was very cool & fun - from the unusual elevator to the lobby & room decor. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was comfortable with very high ceilings. Overall, very enjoyable stay.

The room was spacious, with good light coming in. The bathroom was also generously big and very clean. It had an electric hot plate/stove and came with cups, plates, silverware, and microwave.
Parking is on the property. The property itself is close to the beach and main attractions of the town. It is a great value place.

Good, comfortable, quality room. I entered the room and there were a few of those Whittaker’s chocolate squares to greet me. Close to the penguin viewing. Plenty of good dining choices as well. Pleasant hotel in pleasant town with pleasant chaps. Bravo!

Wonderful historic building that was once a girl's boarding school. Very quiet location with great walking areas on the property. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious chocolates also made on the property. Would highly recommend.
