The room was very clean with the kitchen supplies meticulously organized in the cabinets and drawers. The room has a glass wall to the parking area with a sliding glass patio door entrance to the room. I thought this was very odd, until the next place we stayed in New Zealand had the exact same design. Must be a New Zealand thing. The managers/owners(?) were very pleasant.

Older styled motel. Large room. Bathroom was reasonable, but could do with upgrading. That said, it was functional. Check in was quick and friendly. Rooms were quiet despite location on main highway. Supermarket and takeaway was nearby. Central Oarmaru was a couple of minutes drive away. Was a good hotel for a one night stay.

The unit was much bigger than anticipated, we were a couple staying for 2 nights. Full kitchen, great pressure in the shower. Unit was warm and bed was comfy. It's a bit tired and there is cosmetic maintenance needed but was otherwise comfortable

Really enjoyed our quick stay at the AAA Thames Court Motel. Even though it's on the main road, we didn't hear any traffic noise. Would definitely stay here next time we are in Oamaru.

Very happy with my stay. One of the cleanest motel rooms I’ve stayed in. Great facilities, room was a great size, had everything you’d need. Owner was very helpful. Would definitely stay again. Can’t speak more highly of this property.

What a real gem of a surprise Large rooms, great service, good parking, very clean, great kitchen and bathroom Chinese restaurant across the road cheap large beautifully cooked take away or eat in. We took away. Close to all the town and quiet

stayed here with the family for one night on our tour of New Zealand. Came to see the penguins. Owners were right on site to answer any questions and very informative. At the quiet end of town so no traffic but convenient to both dining groceries and shopping. Could walk to center of town in 25 minutes.

Great motel.

Good motel for a rest stop on our way to Dunedin. Nice clean spacious room. Comfy king size bed with good linen. Good sized bathroom with shelves in the shower! Very useful but rare! Although on the Highway room was quiet and good curtains cut out the light.

Tidy handy place for a nights stay

Well sized units with double glazing. Nice new bathroom so amazed the owners hadn't put in shower domes to protect their new bathrooms from steam - it would also have made it more comfortable for the user to have no steam outside of the shower. Very clean bathroom and kitchen with everything you need. Sadly an earlier guest had cooked smelly food so the room needed more airing.

The unit was spacious and clean. The kitchen was spotless. However, we did find the unit was not equipped to handle wintry conditions. Main heater was blowing hot air but wasn't effective in warming up the room as the air was directed to the floor in front of it and it would shut off itself after some time. There was a small portable heater in the wardrobe/storage space which we tried to use in the room but it wasn't enough. We did not use the spare pillows in the wardrobe because they did not look like they were changed before our stay (looked dusty). Luckily, heated blankets were provided but we found that some were unplugged from the power sockets and we had to move the beds around ourselves a bit to get the power supply connected. The location was along a major road so there could be a bit of noise in the early night but nothing disrupting our sleep. I do think the laundry usage hours (1PM-7PM) was a bit too restrictive for short-term guests.
