Not really walkable to anywhere, grubby looking needs painting in rooms. Cockroaches at night in my room 102. Staff friendly enough and offered to clean the room or change it but no thanks and I changed my hotel. This left me out of pocket for 2 nights accommodation but would you have stayed?

Room was not small, not big, just right. I am a solo traveller, but the room is big enough for 2 people. Clean and comfortable. Blockout curtains and no noise from the street or from inside the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free drinking water station provided so you can refill your bottle, or you can purchase bottled water from reception (as well as other drinks, snacks, travel adaptors etc.) Free iron provided in common area. Hotel has a lift as well as stairs. Thai restaurant directly opposite Hotel. Quiet street, safe at night. Location is handy to Georgetown. I would definitely recommend this place!

Location is great if you don't drive 5minutes ' walk to macalister road and you can find many buses going to Komtar. Great hotel for Budget Travellers.

A cozy hotel with a good location. Right in the middle of the small city and many of the popular hot spots are within walkable distance. Mr Liou, the owner of the hotel, is very nice and he gave us a lot of information on travelling around. Made us feel like home when staying at Penang.

Staff are well trained and seem genuinely concerned that you have a pleasant stay. Rooms are clean and reasonably spacious for the price. A few KMs from the centre of Georgetown, but there's a mall nearby

Good value if you don't mind the area

Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Rooms big enough for a couple of days, and cleaned to a good standard compared to other hotels in Malaysia. Hotel located a couple if KMs from the centre with limited local amenities and noisy local karaoke until 1am. I'm not bothered by this, do would stay again

Off the beaten path but well worth the effort

A very clean, apparently family run hotel with attentive service. Our room didn't have any windows but that was almost the only complaint I could imagine for this place. There is a famous char kway teow stand immediately next door which was excellent but be prepared for a long wait. The rooms were clean, the ac, hot water and wifi worked well and there was lots of places to eat in the immediate vicinity. A lot of bang for the buck.

Friendly staff. There is kopitiam n the famous Char Koey Tiau nearby. There is laundry service at the hotel. Will definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Penang again.

Nice hotel with great staff..

SO hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. Once you arrived at the lobby they greet you warmly, let you choose what kind of pillow you want; they have microfill, cotton, and pearl. Any necessity needed during your stay you may ask the front office. Room was spacious for 3 person, however if it possible avoid the room facing the road, during sunset, the sun faced right into your room and it’s makes the room temperature get hotter even you turn on your aircon. The location itself close by several spot of food heaven, breakfast at jalan Kuantan, famous char kway teow in jalan Siam, or maybe the food stall right in front of the hotel, even on 11pm still full of customer..

Service iin action. You can choose your own type of pillows, to give you a good niht rest! you can try out one of the 15 different shampoos available. Thanks to that, i am switching brands! Those little things make clear that the people are SO dedicated to give you a comfortable stay. And not just one employee, all of them.

Overall 4.5 / 5 Didnt expect much from a Hotel that price is so cheap But end up having a Awesome night at SO hotel. I requested Honey moon theme. And they Really did it for me. I Really appreciate it. Their service are Really good. Hotel might be abit old. But their service have make up for it. High recommended for those Looking for cheap and good hotel.
