"I understand this property has recently been refurbished, and the hotel is certainly very clean and modern. Our room was excellent with several useful appliances, a small kitchen area and the bathroom had a powerful shower, with plenty of hot water. The air conditioning in our room was perfect. Staff on the reception were very friendly and efficient and made us feel at home. We opted to use our smart phone to open the room door. The hotel send a link to your phone, and this worked extremely well. The hotel location is just off Denman Street and is really convenient for English Bay and Stanley Park. There are numerous restaurants within a few minutes walk. Although Denman Street is extremely busy and can be noisy, our room was extremely quiet, and we slept very well. All in all, I would certainly recommend this hotel, if you are staying in Vancouver."

"The room was clean, and we enjoyed our stay. The toilet broke in the middle of the night so it was inconvenient, but we lived. I would definitely stay here again. Good price."

"The stay was great overall; good location for the price. My only critique would be that there was mold in the shower between the tiles. The ice maker also wasn’t clean inside as there were particles coming out when we used the dispenser. The location is very central which is good, but could be noisy for some travellers."
English Bay Hotel

"I love the location…the place to be in Vancouver. This was my third stay , all have which have been exactly what I need n accommodation. The suite was appointed with a full kitchen and there is Safeway two blocks away. I’ve stayed at the two hotels that are within a block, and the English Bay Hotel offers much more for much less. Highly recommended unless you expect a five star experience."
Gibsons Garden Hotel

"This hotel I would highly recommend! It was clean, the gardens were so beautiful (perfect place to enjoy the complimentary breakfast) the pool and hot tub were marvellous, the staff was very helpful and friendly! My husband and I would consider coming back again. I really enjoyed the smart tv where we could watch Netflix. The only slight issue was the shower in our room had very low water pressure so we took our showers at the gym. Other than that the hotel is top notch!"
