「This is a nice hotel but I would advise booking a room on the second floor as none of the rooms have carpets so I didn't get a lot of sleep due to the people upstairs repeatedly getting up and walking about at all hours followed by the draymans delivery early in the morning which was right below my room. Its a perfectly good stay and very well situated in Bala,.... just make sure you book a second floor room.」

Plenty of space with large kitchen and living area, comfy beds and lovely little touches like biscuits, milk, coffee pods for the Nespresso machine and even a bottle of wine in the fridge. 「I really enjoyed my one night stay at Y Pengwern. The bar was friendly when we checked in, and when I was shown my room was amazed at how big it was. I was backpacking and there was plenty of room to reorganise my kit, and the bed was large and very comfortable. After a long day's walk we were looking forward to food, and were very happy with the big hearty meals we had in the restaurant.
