「We are regular visitors to Civitavecchia and have always stayed along the seafront, so we were initially a little apprehensive about booking accommodation further into the town. However, Gallery Suite proved to be an excellent choice. The location was much quieter than the seafront while still being within easy walking distance of the main streets, shops, and restaurants. 「Upon entering, the garbage can sitting in the entry smelled foul. There was no elevator, so that meant hauling four suitcases up two flights of stairs. The common area and room were very clean and modern, and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was especially nice. However, in the night, there was a strange methane-like smell in the bathroom. The bedspread had an obvious stain on it. The location was super convenient to the port and its shuttle bus system. 「I do not recommend! There is no way to access the property until 3pm, no place to stow luggage if you are getting off a cruise ship in the morning. No staff at all ever at the property, just an email with access instructions that is sent just before 3pm.」
