「We can’t say enough about the friendliness of the staff and the hotel itself. Large room, very clean, and 1 block to the beach. My only request for the future? Please expand the gluten free options on your menus. Simple changes such as corn tortillas vs flour would go a long way.」

「The staff were very friendly and helpful. We Loved our stay at the Mathis House Victorian Bed & Breakfast and Tea Room luncheon. Beautifully decorated. Loved all the food selections. both Tea & breakfast. Rooms were lovely and very comfortable. Had a cute shop also. We loved the selections of teas & bought some for home. Highly recommend staying here.」

「Property is in better condition than other properties on LBI and seems they’ve been maintaining for a few years now. Exterior noise is reasonably good seeing that it’s right at the main bridge onto LBI. Kids running down the hallway and overhead a bit more intrusive. Happy to have a solid hotel in such a highly seasonal location and that they seem to be maintaining it to a higher standard than other properties on the island.」

「Hotel was great for a long weekend with 3 kids, the room was ready within 20 minutes of arriving and although there were no bath towels in our room, they were delivered promptly. We will stay again. 」
