"I have visited over 170 countries. This castle is in my top two or three most wonderful places I have ever visited. The castle is amazing but the main reason i loved this place so much is because the staff were beyond perfect. They made our stay something I will never forget. The food and wine could not have been more amazing. The live piano played at dinner was priceless. I will fondly remember this place for the rest of my life."

"Good room, helpful staff, good dinner, good breakfast and convenient parking. No complaints."

"Basic double courtyard rooms. Spacious rooms but standard double beds - though from the indentations on the carpet in mine, a Queen or King resided there before. Even so, the base "flat" sheets did not fit the mattress to the head exposing no protector. Total lack of information in my room (27) that was there in our daughter's (25) regarding wifi access and other info. I had to wash a tea cup in my room that had a sticky residue at the bottom of it and clear lip residue around the rim. No mixer taps for the bath or basin - fine. I'm British - I can "mix my own bath". But there is something uniquely annoying about a hand basin where the taps are set so far back the water only just reaches the basin. The blind in my room was functional but lop-sided and needs attentjon."

"Just back from a wonderful one night stay at the Raby High Force Hotel - I only wish we could have stayed longer and explored the many walks nearby and sampled more of the hotel food! The hotel has an elegant charm, has been beautifully maintained and the staff are just amazing, especially George who couldn’t have done enough for us. We had a beautiful afternoon tea, served on the big round table in a snug, making it really special. The breakfast (Full English and Poached Eggs & Avocado) was amazing! The room rate includes complimentary entry to the High Force Waterfall and its many walks, also Raby Castle - saving us over £60! Raby Castle is well worth a visit for its splendour and again, so very well restored and maintained. The staff and volunteers at Raby Castle are so knowledgable and clearly enjoy sharing what they know with the visitors. Both hotel and castle are set in stunning surroundings. You won’t be disappointed."

Perhaps the stand out feature of the Beaumont is the staff, without exception..their friendliness and attention leant to a welcoming and relaxed stay."
