We chose the penthouse as we wanted a king bed and a fridge. The bed was larger than an English super king bed. Very spacious, exactly as seen online. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Great balcony. Rooms had double aspect.

Hidden Gem

Beautifully designed and recently renovated small hotel in the centre of the old town. Forget the usual resort hotels, Solar Mendonca is at a whole different level. Period charm outside, ultra high tech inside. The owner is passionate about the building and that shows in the high specification and clever design. We had an apartment which was very well equipped. Perfect temperature control and sound proofing in every room when you want it, roof terrace or balcony if you don't. Restaurants, shops and Sunday farmer's market are right outside. Nice cold Vinho Verde in the apartment was the perfect welcome. Thank you to Helder and his team for superb stay. Fabuloso!

Descanso em Faro

Estadia muito agradável num local suberbo. Perto do centro histórico e da marina, com vários restaurantes e bares por perto, este hotel é um lugar que recomendo. É de notar a simpatia do rececionista assim como a da menina da limpeza, sempre prestável. Edifício renovado, com ambiente familiar, contém espaços exteriores magníficos. Todos os fatores estão reunidos para momentos aprazíveis. Ideal para casais ou famílias.
