「Me and my daughter came to town for a film festival so we weren’t at the property very much throughout our stay. However, the rooms were clean. The grounds was well kept and the location was near a Walmart and gas stations had we needed anything in a pinch. It was also a fairly quiet location. Staff was nice; good coffee. 」

「I cannot say enough about how much we LOVED our stay! The host was incredibly kind and helpful and made us feel so at home. The parking was much easier than I anticipated and the property was beautiful. 「Was exactly what I needed for a solo bday trip to the area. Minimal, friendly, clean. Didn’t mind that it’s obvious the place has been there a while. The parking lot has a huge pothole, which isn’t great. Just drive around it and be grateful for the great price and nature at your doorstep.」

「Enjoyed a 2 nite stay here while attending CATF theatre festival in Shepherdstown. Enjoyed the outdoor hottub after biking on C&O Canal towpath, and fantastic country breakfasts. 「Stayed at the Light Horse Inn for two nights. Absolutely loved it. You have to manage expectations because this isn't an ultra modern hotel with a restaurant, bar workout facilities, etc. However if you love history, antiques and the charm of a very unique stay, Light Horse Inn is for you.
