We stayed in a roadside Cabin and it was a complete disappointment. It’s right off the street, so instead of a peaceful river view you get constant traffic noise. The cabin is old, run-down, and nothing like the description online. The bed was uncomfortable, the bathrooms were tiny, and the showers are so small that you can’t even turn around in them. When we arrived, one bathroom sink faucet was leaking, one toilet barely flushed and felt like it was about to overflow, and the kitchen faucet didn’t work properly either. The manager brushed it off, saying a previous guest broke the faucet and that rain caused the toilet issue—seriously? We asked for a refund and were told it couldn’t be done. We didn’t even stay the full two nights we paid for—we left the very next morning. The only reason we booked here was because of the high ratings, which honestly makes no sense. Maybe other cabins are better, but Cabin #7 is dated and in need of updating and maintenance. Avoid it.

The pictures and description were misleading, not cottages on the river. No heat there was a space heater that did nothing, had to turn on the stove for heat. For the price is was outdated. The worst thing was whatever insects were eating us alive in the bed. Looked for signs of bed bugs and did not see anything but the little black specs of digested blood on the sheets both mornings were concerning. Left itchy and unsure about what we might be bringing home so we took extra precautions.

Loved the location, an easy drive to the national park and situated by a babbling stream. The kitchen was fully equipped for us to cook at home, and there was even outside seating so we could enjoy our meal by the stream.

We enjoyed a beautiful long weekend at River Ridge Cottages. Our cottage was even nicer than expected, and it was extremepy close to the Beaver Meadows entrance to RMNP. We will definitely be back!

The cabin was very clean but unfortunately whatever they clean it with smells absolutely awful and with all the doors and windows open we could not get rid of that smell our entire stay and honestly gave us headaches.

Just OK. Our cottage was near a loud road. The room was hot and stuffy during the day. The bathroom, shower, and kitchenette were tiny. Rustic but not in a charming way. Our advice: spend a bit more and get something much, much nicer.
