The place is just out of the busy area of town but close enough to get to the downtown area quickly. Check in was a little bit of a hassle in that the desk clerk had a hard time finding my name in the reservations. He had me go around to his side of the counter to point out my name on the computer screen. Even with my ID in his hand, reading my name directly from it, he did not believe I was pointing to my own name on the screen.
The room was clean but some telltale signs of poor remodeling were evident. Paint was not cleaned off the mirror, overly textured walls were most likely hiding poor workmanship, security bolt was not functional, no room cleaning/housekeeping at all for three days and we went to the lobby to get clean towels each day. Daily breakfast was ok but no potatoes or meats of any kind. Hot and cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, elk chili, frozen waffles and pancakes were the norm.
