This is by far the best hotel in the area and the price makes it unbeatable. The staff is super friendly, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and fresh coffee 24hrs a day! Best of all, it wasn't noisy. I stayed 24 nights and not one issue. I don't normally do reviews but this place deserves a great review.

The room was ok the bathroom was not. The floor tile by the shower has failed and the subfloor is rotting and spongy. $50. Extra per night with two dogs for three nights seems a little steep for a room of this quality. The staff was very kind. It’s good enough for a guys and dogs hunting trip. We rented three rooms for three guys. I’m sure that I will be back.

Don't be like me. Stay at Brookestone

There are three "hotels" in Emmetsburg. One smells like casino cigarettes, one just smells, and the other is Brookestone. Now I know. Check-in was quick and easy, although the room was grossly overpriced for what it was - a 2 Story Super8 motel in a town of 3600 people 30 minutes drive from anything useful and a rate of $130 for the night. When I entered my room, one light switch worked, the other did not. Presumably it was tied to the outlet the floor lamp was plugged into. However, that lamp was not switched on. I immediately noticed a stale musty smell upon entry. It had been a long day and I needed a shower so I just accepted my fate. The bathroom was as plain as can be with a basic shower and toilet. The shower curtain rod looked like it had been ripped from the wall during a fall and patched and plastered by a highschool student. The toilet had mineral stains indicating lack of regular cleaning. The water pressure was the best feature of the room. The bed was hard and not overly comfortable and the pillows were equally generic. Bring your own pillow if possible. The room was fairly quiet, which was a welcome relief. As for the continental breakfast, I did not partake as I had early morning errands to run. I decided to try my luck with the drive through coffee shop across the street. I would recommend against it. TL;DR: There are 3 options in Emmetsburg, none great for the going rate when compared to the amenities this town offers. You're better off staying in Spencer

Check-in was quick and easy. Hallway smelled like urine, and there was even a pluggable wall fragrance in the hallway outlet. My room felt damp/wet. Tried to make the room colder to decrease the dampness, but I got too cold with the bedding provided. The bed had a sheet and a top cover that was also as thick as a sheet. Breakfast was just ok. All of the yogurts were expired.

The room was spacious and clean, but had an off odor like stale hay or something organic. Once we were in it, the smell wasn’t noticeable but every time we reentered the room, it was there😒 Otherwise, it was fine

It was gross there was some weird stain on our lamp shade there was missing carpet throughout the room and there was food in random spots (not ours) there was burnt hair on the hair dryer and the water was yellow
