「We have just had a 3 night stay at the Hotel and it was lovely. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and gave us a brief tour, when our room was ready we were again escorted there by a member of reception. The room was a great size with a small patio area overlooking the lush gardens. We had dinner in the restauarant on our first night, which was excellent, service was impeccable. 「A very good hotel with an excellent breakfast and great amenities. The room we stayed in—located on the floor 0 felt a bit dated; upon entering, there was a noticeable stale odor. In the evenings, there is wonderful live music in the bar and a very pleasant atmosphere. It is an adults-only hotel, though I would say its 55+. I recommend it for a peaceful, relaxing getaway!」

「A lovely hotel in the city centre. I had a refurbished room which was very comfortable with modern decor and feel. Breakfast was plentiful but could have been varied a bit from day to day. I enjoyed using the pool but the sun umbrellas were not in use as I was told they had previously blown over in the wind. I couldn’t help but notice that other places in Funchal (bars etc) had similar umbrellas and used well designed sand bags to ensure they didn’t tip over. Maybe a something the hotel can look...
