"The handicapped suite was very well laid out. Shades were confusing but learned there is a button to push to raise and lower.
New so all well taken care of."
"We spent 4 nights here. The rooms were ok but a little noisy at times. What we really didn’t like was the lack of hot water. I was able to get it hot enough in the shower to take a shower, but the water in the sink was usually luke warm. We liked the pancakes in the breakfast room but the eggs were always cold. My friend and I like hot chocolate and we brought our own but the hot water was always lukewarm unless you also microwaved it. My biggest concern was trying to get staff when you had a question/ concern. One evening when we came back, I stood by the desk for a good 15min waiting for help and even calling out to find someone. Not only were they not available for questions/concerns but I kept thinking about the fact that anyone who was wanting to do harm, could have walked right in without any problems or anyone stopping them. Would probably not recommend this hotel."
"Our room was terrible in terms of cleanliness. We could see children’s handprints on almost all of the surfaces. It looked as if mirrors had been cleaned with a grease rag. We didn’t use the coffee maker as it was filthy. There were long hairs stuck to bathroom door. The TV had a thick enough layer of dust for my grandson to draw pictures in it. My husband ran to Target to pick up cleaning supplies so we could clean enough to feel comfortable staying there. I will say the breakfast is above average and a the staff members who were covering it were polite and kept busy cleaning maintaining the breakfast bar. The gentleman at the front desk was rude. A second younger guy working the desk was kind and extremely talkative (I had difficulty leaving to get to our room). The older gentleman needs to retire if he dislikes working with the public. We generally like Holiday Inn as a mid tier hotel but will not be back to this location."
