I honestly love this place, cut through the train station, across the road and 2 min walk, perfect. The staff are always there for whatever you need. The breakfast might not be a hot one, but definitely worth the price, and the cartoons are hilarious - I’m a big kid at heart.
I know hostels aren’t for everyone, but if ya’s are in a group, it’s a lot easier… Bar across the road serves breakfast and has awesome prices with the wee deal card. Apart from one other place I’ve found, this would be my choice!
I saw someone cleaning the toilets and showers every day which was nice to know was being done. Bottom bunk curtains only cover about half of the actual bunk, so they don't offer as much privacy as the middle and top bunks. Just something to be aware of. Bring your own lock for the lockers if you don't want to have to buy one from the front desk.
While excellent location and friendly staff, bathrooms were smelly, toilets often didn’t flesh, no garbages in them for women, no simple hook on the wall for belongings. No kitchen, only a mini fridge to accommodate the masses. The reception area was cute but that was about it. Expected a bit more for the price
The location is really convenient, nearby every tourist attraction places. However the toilet is not too clean. But I only stay for 2 nights so it’s acceptable
This hostel is basic but clean and very central. There are not many showers and toilets for the number of guests but if you get up early or shower in the evening you can avoid queuing.
Great convienent location right next to the train station and close to the Royal Mile along with a short walk all the other main attractions. Quiet rooms (bar some inconsiderate guests) and decent facilities. Staff were lovely and helpful.
It probably worth the price. Poor mattress and pillow, constant in and out from people until almost midnight, craking bed.
You must be ready for company, strangers from anywhere around you all the time.
Located downtown so you are near of every touristic attractions in Edinburg.
Additionnal fee for a towel (3£), padlock (4£), morning breakfast (5-6£)
Small showers and toilets. (~1m2)
Extremely helpful and friendly front desk! Rooms were perfect, bathrooms / toilets were kept clean, excellent location close to everything (I didn't even have to take public transit!).
The only con is the common areas aren't big enough or nice enough given the number of people the hostel.
Great location, friendly staff, good selection of bunk/room options & optional breakfast.
Only 2 toilets/showers for many bunks. Clean from first glance, but dirty walls in bunks & bathroom floors.
Great facilities and location but with more popular hostels comes less tailored service. Some organised activities but lacked a friendly family quality. Still a great stay. 8/10 would recommend.
