We left this hotel the day after we arrived, the reason being was mainly due to the small second bed in the twin room. Be aware that this second bed is the size of a child's bed not a twin bed. It was impossible to sleep in for me, and I am an average sized person 5ft 6in and around 150lbs. I thought I could cope in order to not disrupt our plans in Edinburgh, but when we went down for breakfast the next morning there was no coffee and when I asked the employee, he seemed really put out to add beans to the machine. But the real decision to leave was made when my mother-in-law asked to move tables because there was a very thin man falling asleep at the table in front of her and she was really uncomfortable thinking maybe he had just done some drug. Premier is a discount hotel so we weren't expecting the Four Seasons, but we did expect we would be able to sleep, enjoy the added cost breakfast and feel safe. I would not advise staying here and will likely never book a Premier property in the future due to this brief stay.

Arrival was confusing with mixed levels of help from staff. They insisted we pull up the confirmation number despite having given our names and sat while the wifi struggled to connect to allow us to get the info. Then eventually just looked it ip with our names after acting as though we hadnt guven jrThe room had water damage in various spots and didnt seem clean. On the plus side the location was great and even a nice view.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Most of the reception staff were very kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit, which made a positive first impression. The location is exceptional — very convenient and ideal for exploring the area. The breakfast was good in quality, although somewhat limited in variety. It covers the basics well, but there is room for more options. The main area for improvement would be the guest service in the kitchen/breakfast area. There were two young staff members who, unfortunately, were not friendly. When we asked for assistance, their responses felt rude, and at times it seemed like they were trying to scold guests if something didn’t meet their expectations. For example, when I asked for water, I did not receive a verbal response — only a gesture pointing elsewhere. Working in customer service requires a courteous and respectful attitude, and improving this aspect would make a significant difference in the overall guest experience.

The location of the hotel is ideal for sights and day trips from Edinburgh. Near lots of food, shops, attractions and transport. 30 mins from airport. Airlink near by. Breakfast isn’t included, at a fee but plenty of amazing food places to eat near by. I left a travel adapter in my room and when I realized right after check out, I called with no answer. When I returned to the hotel 4 days later the staff was unhelpful and rude, claimed they did not have the adapter before I described or showed them a picture. Only went to “check” the back room after my urging. Super unhelpful at check in as well. When I couldn’t do self check in because I have an international post code, the staff was annoyed at my asking for help with the process. Didn’t feel welcome.

Hôtel de chaîne assez classique. Le personnel est très serviable mais semble en sous-effectif. Pas de nettoyage des chambres à moins de demander mais personne ne l'a mentionné. Petit-déjeuner à l'anglaise, bon sans plus. La propreté mériterait d'être améliorée. L'hôtel est bien situé, c'est sans doute son principal atout.
