The room I got was super spacious and had a beautiful chandelier which gave the room so much charm. It is literally walking distance to the Haymarket station, which is super convenient. Lots of options for eating out, my favorite spot was Old Pal Bar& Kitchen (6 min walk) Staff is super friendly. Definitely recommended!!!

The hotel is cute and clean and close to the bus line, but this might not be the hotel for you if youre a light sleeper. The windows must stay open at night for air circulation, and unfortunately you can hear every single car, bus, bump outside your window.

Das Hotel besteht aus mehreren ehemaligen Wohnhäuser bei den die Zimmer zu Hotelzimmer mit eigenen Badezimmer umgebaut wurden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, es wird alles erklärt und man wird bis zum Zimmer gebraucht. Die Sauberkeit ist topp, im Zimmer befindet sich sogar ein kleiner Kühlschrank. Das Hotel ist in einen Seitengasse bei einer Hauptstraße, somit alles was man braucht in der Nähe z.B. Supermarkt, Restaurant, Bahnhof, Bushaltestell für den Flughafenbus. Für die Lage bei dem Verkehrsaufkommen ist bei geschlossenen Fenster still. Mein nächste Urlaub ist in dem Hotel schon gebucht

Nice older hotel in a good location. Easy access to public transportation. Large rooms. On complaint is the beds. The mattresses were not comfortable. Felt like a few inches of foam over plywood.

Preis Leistungskurs Verhältnis war für Edinburgh gut, die Lage sehr gut, sehr nah an allen Haltestellen. Wir hatten zunächst ein Zimmer im Souterrain, was uns nicht gefiel. Auf Nachfrage haben wir problemlos am nächsten Tag ein anderes Zimmer bekommen, die Koffer wurden ins andere Zimmer gebracht

The hotel is ideally located for both murrayfield and the town centre with tram links 2 mins from the door . The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good . A few grumbles tho , the windows were screwed open ( I guess as a result of the recent heatwave ) , but this needs addressing to satisfy everyone’s preference . Also the shower in our room (room 4 buchin) was very poor , alternating from hot to cold and the flow being very poor . Overall we would happily stay here again and thank the staff for their welcome .

Staff always polite, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had everything needed for a short stay. Lovely bar area with good selection of drinks. Didn't have a breakfast but they did look good.

Terrific location, great hotel, comfy room, nice and clean. Helpful and kind staff. Building is a bit outdated but overall well maintained. Just a step off Haymarket station, tram and buses services. Plenty of food options around.

We had two different rooms during our stay because of availability. The first was a standard room and it was OK, a bit tired but nice enough. But the mattress was so hard, terribly uncomfortable and we did not sleep well. The second room was a larger one with a king and a single bed. Much nicer and the bed was comfortable. Overall the place was good at the price. Location was convenient, right near the train station, only one stop to Old Town and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were all helpful, moved our bags between the two rooms, booked us a cab etc.

We had a brilliant stay at The Haymarket Hotel. The setup is quite unique, as the hotel is spread across several charming historic townhouses, which gives the place plenty of character. The location is spot on... an easy walk to Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street, and the Old Town, plus the tram and Haymarket station are just around the corner. Our room was spotless, surprisingly spacious, and very quiet. Thanks to the classic Scottish architecture, we had a lovely bay window with a seating area, which made the perfect cosy spot for a morning cup of tea. The en-suite bathroom was well equipped with quality toiletries, fluffy towels, and great water pressure. A wonderful touch was the complimentary welcome drink, served right at the friendly reception bar, such a pleasant way to kick off our stay. Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. Everyone in our group was genuinely impressed, and we would happily book here again next time we visit Edinburgh. Highly recommended!
