I loved the high ceiling and was very clean, staff were amazing and even gave us an umbrella which saved us from the Scottish weather, I will definitely be back soon.

I was not impressed with my stay. The hotel is expensive, but the quality does not match the price. The room was uncomfortably hot, and the sink was leaking, which made the experience even more disappointing. Overall, I do not feel the stay was worth the cost.

Very friendly staff, convenient location. No food but tea, coffee and snacks available and plenty of places to eat close by. Rooms were much larger than expected.

We stayed at the Albany for 5 nights. Beautiful room. Great neighborhood close to old town and new, trains and trams. If you need more water, towels, a sewing kit or iron they will supply it. Extra bonus tea and cookies in room everyday. I will stay here again.

Our hotel room was huge, with 20 foot ceilings, big windows and a very large bathroom with a shower and separate soaker tub. The property was close to pubs restaurants and the royal mile and castle. Staff was friendly and the room was clean with complimentary water. We loved the hotel and would stay again

The staff was lovely and the accommodation was great. The beds were bigger than we expected and our room was a great size. 10/10 recommend

Excellent 3 night stay, I will definitely be back. The hotel is perfectly situated. Very close to the tram line to the airport (5min walk) and maybe a 10min to Waverly train station, but it’s also on a very quiet street and very close to the Royal Mile and all the sights. I have nothing negative to say. The room was spacious, the bed and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and the staff was always helpful and friendly.

Nos encantó la propiedad, la habitación amplia, la cama muy cómoda. La atención de la recepcionista Española es una maravilla, nos dio muchos tips de la ciudad. Lo unico que no nos gusto fue la señora de limpieza, que es una desesperada y grosera. Nos quedamos dormidos y se nos pasó que la hora del check-out era a las 11:00am, claramente nuestro error y desde esa hora nos fue a tocar 4 veces, una de las veces abrió la puerta con su llave sin tocar, nosotros estábamos casi desnudos saliendo de bañarnos apurados, una de las reglas primerias de la hoteleria es TOCAR ANTES DE ABRIR LA PUERTA, una grosera, amargada e infeliz. Ese fue el único punto malo, de resto, el staff del front desk increible.

A rat sneaked into the room on the first night of my stay. Horrified, it woke my mum up as she quickly attempted to trap it in the cupboard as to not damage our clothes or the luggage in the room. The next morning, i complained about this to the hotel staff, who at the reception, were very kind and helpful. They said the rat probably came from a small crack within the outside walls, and they switched our rooms. They also agreed to provide a refund for the first night, which was now ruined. However, the problem amplified within the upper management. The receptionist told me my complaint would be "forwarded to the person handling refunds" in order to provide me with one. Let me be clear, as i'm writing this I stayed in the hotel 2 weeks ago and i have YET to be approached or contacted. I asked the reception again and again for any updates on my case and they kept saying i'd be contacted "soon". Now one of the 2 things are probably happening here. 1) Either the process of refunding one night really takes this hotel more than 2 weeks (very unlikely), or 2) The management in charge of it is stalling on purpose, not contacting me in the hopes of me just forgetting about it and moving on so that they wouldn't have to reach into their pockets to pay a fair night's refund. I don't know about you, but the latter seems what's happening to me right now. The reception is really friendly, it's just the management that seems to be the problem here.
