Apex Grassmarket Hotel
Excellent location with private car park (extra charge). Booked a family room described as two double beds but it was really a king bed with a convertible couch. Room was a bit tight but had a view of the castle. Room temp was comfortable and could be controlled easily. Bathroom floor wasn’t clean ...

Holiday Inn Edinburgh by IHG
Room was good, lazy toilet and sink. Also very dated, needs to be upgraded soon. Carpets were really old and dusty. Apart from that staff and service was excellent 👍

Britannia Hotel Edinburgh
Nice & clean. Bed was too hard for my liking but for 2 nights it was ok. Only one roll of loo roll provided but more available at reception. Maybe having a spare roll in the room would have been better. Lovely view from the room. Uphill walk to the old town which took about 35 minutes.
