Perfect view of the harbor and not too far from town. The room had a very cozy atmosphere vibe. The check-in process was a bit confusing and the appliance fixtures were flimsy/broken.

I loved the view, the lovely private balcony, the cozy room and decor. I would definitely stay again. The management were very responsive and helpful as well. The electric fireplace is also a cozy addition that I made good use of since it is pretty cold in March, still.

The view was beautiful from the deck of our unit. We could see an eagle's nest in a tree fairly close to the unit and watch the eagles coming and going. I presume they had eggs or babies in the nest.

The pictures do not do it justice it is a stunning stay with incredible views. The room (spruce suite) was very cozy, clean and had all necessary accommodations. We are already planning another trip! It’s very apparent that the hosts care a great deal about their guests experience.

We have visited the Kingfish Inn several times now, and each is as pleasant as the last. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfy. The location is quiet with spectacular views of the sound. With the self-checkin / checkout process, the whole thing is very simple and convenient.

Clean, very comfortable and peaceful. A vacation I’ll never forget. Only thing that could of made it better is if the restaurant was open to try the owners fare, but we enjoyed lovely dinners in town. We accidentally locked ourselves on the balcony of our suite(Spruce) and within 10 minutes, Holly had us rescued by staff who came back to let us in. Everything was absolutely perfect. What dreams are made of!

Postcard views of the Westsound.
Very nice room with postcard view of the Westsound. Very quit place to stay. Central location from Deer Harbor and Orcas. 20 minute drive from Eastsound. Very helpful owner. He drove us to Deer Harbor when our taxi failed to show up.

Even though it is not at Eastsound, but it is very easy to get there. a great location. I will book again if I am going to visit Orcas island in the future.

It’s right above the water across the street and the Spruce suite has a large deck with 2 chairs that looks into the bay. The bed and bedding were super comfortable. The only things that were not so good; not enough coffee/tea for the rooms (e were told to get more upstairs but everyone else has already taken it), no water pressure in bathroom sink.

Lovely place to rest on a busy vacation schedule. There was no check in by anyone but it was fine with the information we had. Lovely , spacious, well appointed room and bathroom. Nice complimentary snacks too. Sad we didn’t know their restaurant would be closed the entire time we were there . Would recommend for sure. Know there are slot of stairs.

Property was easy to find and located right on the sound with spectacular views. Room was clean, comfortable and cozy with the stove/fireplace. Contactless check-in/out was very convenient, and still the owners kept in touch to remain welcoming and accessible.

We had a quiet harbor view. Could see the stars without getting out of my bed. The restaurant was excellent, and they worked us in because we were staying there.

Incredible view, many thoughtful touches, and out-of-this-world hospitality. Absolutely loved our stay. Don’t miss the restaurant attached to the inn, the food is amazing. Our ferry to Orcas was delayed many hours so that we were unable to get dinner before heading over and wouldn’t land until after the restaurants on the island were all closed. The inn keepers made sure we had food waiting in our room for us, and took away any stress from a very frustrating day. Lovely from start to finish.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this quaint and rustic inn. We liked the quietness and beautiful location. We had a nice and delicious dinner at the restaurant as well. It’s a few short miles from the main town and appreciated the remote and serene location.

We stayed in the Alder Room. It was fabulous! Microwave, water pot, Keurig, mini fridge, complimentary snacks and tea/coffee. Your own private balcony with two chairs and a small table, that looks out to the water. TV with DirecT and an eclectic dvd selection. Comfortable bed. Wonderful hosts. Everything about this place is awesome. I would recommend using something other than Expedia to book because of the added fees. Would return in a heartbeat!

I was so delighted with this small vintage Inn. It was comfortable and nicely decorated with good amenities, like the coffee maker. The view of the harbor and the stormy October weather was wonderful. I will return some weekend to try the restaurant, which is only open Wed-Sat during the off season.

wonderful time on Orcas Island
Beautiful historic lodge with views of the water and gorgeous boats right out our window. No air conditioner but fans were placed in the room to help. Comfy mattress. After coming back from a long hike the hosts offered us free drinks...and we sat on the comfortable patio enjoying the hosptality

Awesome stay!
We stayed two nights at Kingfish and it was AMAZING! The room was clean and comfortable. The location and views were fantastic. The hosts were not on-site, but were extremely responsive and super friendly. The restaurant was not open the nights we were there, so I cannot speak to noise, smells, or parking issues due to restaurant patrons filling the lot. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Great stay. We appreciated the DVD selection. The access to coffee and sugar/creamer as well as the microwave made it easy to have breakfast in the room. Wonderful deck area in the room we had. The location was beautiful. It felt rural, but was within 10 minutes of shops and attractions.

We could not be more pleased with Kingfish at West Sound. Holly was fantastic! The room was perfect! We never once heard anyone else during our 3 day stay. If you are staying on Orcas island, do yourself a favor and stay at Kingfish, you will not regret it!

Very beautiful setting and building. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and the extra amenities were thoughtful. My only dislike is that there was no reserved parking spaces for overnight guests and we had to park down the road and haul our bags up the hill to the room as all spaces were occupied by restaurant patrons.
