「Lots of trip and height hazards due to variations in floor and ceiling levels throughout our top floor room and access corridor. Room selection should include information about these conditions, which came as a surprise. The quality of furnishings etc somewhat compensated but we needed to be vigilant not to hit our head or trip during our stay.」

「We enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Brighton. The service was impeccable. It elevated the whole experience at the hotel despite some hits and misses. Every staff was professional and friendly (even their uniform was tastefully designed). The lobby and lounge were beautiful, giving us a really good impression of the hotel. However, while we were aware of the history of the hotel, the bathroom was a bit tricky to use. It was obviously dated and needed some refurbishment work. The water pressure...

「This is a truly magical destination. It has history, style and friendly service. Exploring the various rooms, corridors and tunnel all add to the magic of this place. The food is excellent and I should mention the whisky to add to/with the morning porridge! The grounds are fabulous and extend down to the beach and the Spa a delight. This is our third stay and not our last. 」

「It was a very disappointing experience. There were many problems with the room. The sink seemed clogged and water couldn’t be drained smoothly. The fan could not turn around. The most unacceptable thing was that the rubbish bin was not emptied yet. There was still rubbish inside! I reported the problems to the staff and he changed another room for me」

「Great traditional hotel perfect for a local running event. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely evening meal at the on site restaurant (recommend the passion fruit posset) and the hotel kindly let me have an early breakfast. Only a couple of minor issues with road noise and light coming in from the side of curtain but this is just an observation - I am a light sleeper - and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Recommend and I will be returning! Thank you!」

「Lovely old building O bedroom very comfortable, spacious and light. room had recently been refurbished to v. high standard and overlooked pretty garden. Good parking and helpful staff. Would definitely return.」

「Great location near the beach. Enough space for 5 adults and 1 child. We were in the basement room, stairs are scaring. Rest was well decorated. Toilett was dirty and aging.」

「Great location and it was perfect for an overnight stay for my mums birthday. The beds were very comfy. We were just a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the room - it stunk of smoke. We opened the windows and I sprayed my perfume (not ideal) but we couldn’t get rid of it. Hopefully just a blip as I’d stayed here before and it wasn’t an issue.」
