Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. 「The breakfast was good, both choice and quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It appears that they welcome dogs in some rooms. My room was clean and the bed was comfy. There wasn't any parking at the premises, but I was able to find an on street space relatively nearby.」

「Good location in beautiful scenery not far from some walks. On a main road but it was completely silent at night. Suite was lovely and bigger than expected, with beautiful views, and a very modern bathroom with a fab shower. The bed did have a weird slope to it though which put our feet higher than our heads! Food in the pub at dinner time was expensive and average, although breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Enjoyed our stay very much. 」

「Our two nights stay was fabulous I would definitely recommend staying here. All the staff were extremely friendly and hard working. Our room was very spacious and very clean we were in Suite 16 which also had its own car parking space which was very handy. We will definitely book to stay here again.」

「The Tyr Castle is a lovely old building with lots of character.Trudy is very welcoming ,and nothing was to much trouble. Food was great , cooked to Order ,piping hot on hot plates. Victor the barman and waiter was efficient and friendly.Views are spectacular , we were lucky to have a small balcony which we could sit out on. Only downside was a very small shower cubicle,but given age of property understandable. Easy parking in front of building. We had a very relaxing weeks holiday .」

「The location was great with a lovely sea view. All the staff were pleasant especially Josh who helped with bags . My only complaint is the standard of the room. It's very dated and needs TLC . Plaster falling off some of the walls. No bedside tables. Old shower curtain. Also breakfast was extra. We spoke with other people who was staying at another hotel cheaper rate with breakfast included. I wouldn't book again.」
