The air conditioning was broken, and the room temperature was over 26°C while it was 30°C outside. The staff could only suggest that we either switch rooms or open the window. We changed rooms, but the AC in the new room was also not functioning properly—perhaps because the hotel uses a central AC system. When we went down to the lobby, we noticed several other guests were also complaining about the same issue.
We felt sorry for the lobby staff, who had to deal with so many upset guests, while no hotel manager came forward to speak with us. For a hotel under a well-known brand like The Niu and Holiday Inn, it’s quite surprising that an issue like this wasn’t managed quickly and effectively.
