Quaint Hotel - Service has room for improvement!

It's a quaint hotel with individually designed rooms in a cute neighborhood only steps from the Rhein. I was past of a large group of friends that booked the majority of rooms for one night. While my room was nice, clean and perfectly comfortable, one friend had a room in the annex building and it had not been cleaned thoroughly at all - layer of dust in various places, fingerprints on water glass and faucet. Also, the cleaning crew knocked on her door at 7:30 AM on a Sunday. Not acceptable, in our book. Also, while I understand the challenges of hosting a larger group of friends that may have had some additional demands, the staff was visibly annoyed by it and extremely unfriendly. Considering the business we brought to them in one swoop, I would have expected a more service-oriented attitude from the hotel staff.

Lugt af kloak i værelset…

Værelser er gamle men i ok stand. Sengen havde dog set bedre tider ligesom dyne og puder trænger til en udskiftning. Lugten af kloak fra badeværelset som spreder sig ind i værelset er ikke behagelig. Restauranten er et kapitel for sig selv, hvor overtjeneren nok burde komme på et kursus i god kundeservice. Maden fejler derimod intet.

Disappointing

I'm not going to be prickly about this and give the hotel "0", but when you've been travelling all day and turn up to a hotel at 19.45 (so not too late), get greeted by a guy in his socks who hands you a key to your room, which then turns out not to have been cleaned, you aren't in the best of moods. Due to the faff of having to do this, I forgot to ask for the wifi code for the hotel. I went back to the reception 3 times over the next 2 hours, I rang then bell, I even emailed the hotel - nothing. So the emails I had to urgently download pre my meeting the next day, I simply couldn't. Having taken a breath, the hotel was clean, the shower was good, the restaurant looked nice, although I didn't eat at it, because it was closed the evening I arrived. It is in a pleasant area to the north of the city a short walk to the U-bahn into the city centre. I have therefore tried to be balanced. Many will have a wonderful stay at this hotel, but I won't be returning.

Cozy and nice

Excellent location if you are attending a conference. The hotel itself was wonderful contrast to chain hotels and the staff was really pleasant. Good work!

Wieso 4 Sterne?

Auf den ersten Eindruck macht das Ashleys Garden als 4*-Hotel einen guten Eindruck. Aber nur auf den ersten. Schon das Check-In war trocken. "Hier ihr Schlüssel und Zimmer ist oben" Kein nettes Willkommen nichts. Aber gut. Also Koffer nach oben gebracht. Zimmer wirkt niedlich. Auf den ersten Blick alles da. Bett, Schreibtisch, Sessel und ein TV. Zweiter Blick ins Bad. Klein - SEHR klein. Lüftung extrem laut. Toilettenpapier fast alle (Ersatzrolle bereits vorhanden) Hygenebeutelaufbewahrung leer. Diese wurde auch in der kompletten Zeit nicht aufgefüllt. Glaswaschbecken sieht gut aus aber nutzen? Man sieht jeden Wasserfleck. Wobei man so aber auch die Reinigungskräfte gut kontrollieren konnte. Kurz drübergewischt - das war’s. Sauber war es nicht wirklich. Die Dusche ein Horror. Wir hatten damals schon eine Bewertung gelesen hinsichtlich kaltem Wasser. Das stimmt leider wirklich. Für das Duschen mussten wir ganze 20min warten bis endlich wenigstens lauwarmes Wasser kam. Dass die Halterung der Duschbrause ihre Dienste nicht leisten konnte, lassen wir mal so stehen. Badetücher und Handtücher wurden nicht gewechselt, sondern nur zusammen gelegt. Das Bodenhandtuch fehlt am letzten Tag sogar komplett. Schade. Leider darf man nicht mehr als 1500 Zeichen schreiben hier.....

高級住宅街の中のB&B

Ducceldorf空港からタクシーでAshley's Gardenと言ったらすぐに運転手さんはわかって15分ぐらいで到着。飛行機着陸から30分後にはチェックインできます。周りに食べるところががなさそうだったので夕食を空港で済ませましたが、ビストロも併設されているのでこちらでも取れます。空港ではあまり選択肢がありませんでした。電車の駅から10分ほどなのでトランクがあっても天気が良ければ歩いていけます。ライン川からもすぐで私は朝食後に10キロほどジョギングしました。周りは住宅街で到着後すぐにドイツの美しい建築を満喫できました。
