「Check in was quick & easy - I had booked a bell tent, but due to poor weather I was given a free upgrade to a shepherds hut - thank you very much. I had actually dropped my stuff of inside the tent, which was clean, airy and the bed looked well comfy. Very pet friendly & great views across the valley. You are right next to a busy B road, so do bear that in mind, but it's not too bad. The parking is a bit restricted, but plenty across the road. The kitchen, cooking area was good, simple, but...

「Loved this place and the people. It is a little far from main attractions, Salisbury and Stonehenge. About 10-15 miles. But it is so charming. Food is fantastic and building is historic. Be sure to have right converters for plugging things in as there are no USB ports in the rooms. No AC and we arrived during a short heat wave. Bed very comfortable and the soaking tub in the room was great for cooling down.」

「This was an amazing experience! These people have been doing this for 40 years, and have it down! Hospitality is second nature to them! Everything was lovely! They gave us the family suite so we wouldn’t have to bring our luggage upstairs. Hilary made the most perfect breakfast and it was so lovely to chat with her. Highly recommend this place for home away from home! Definitely going back again!」

「We had a good stay. The staff was reluctant to serve us dinner because they had other bookings - which was a bit strange - we wound up at a nearby Italian restaurant.」

「One of our rooms was very hot and loud because it’s near the extraction fan from the restaurant. Another room where my parents stayed, the heating was on (during a May heat wave) and the tap/showering water was boiling hot with no cold running at all. The staff came to check, said there are no spare rooms to switch to because of the bank holiday weekend. They called the manager, promised to give me an answer, but then I saw ran to her car and never showed again. I asked another staff member....

「Found the place expensive £7 a pint, and £13.50 for a breakfast, which we didn’t bother with.Also the room I paid for double room with an extra single bed, had been given to someone else, which by the way I had phoned up two days previous to verify I had.Staff I spoke too were nice, but I would never go back there.」
