I traveled from Ghana to visit Durban only for me to get to the Albany hotel in Durban only for me to be told i cant check in until after two meanwhile I got to the hotel from the airport around 8 am I asked for a refund and they refused to refund me so I need a refund back because I didn’t even sleep there at all

Albany should not be a hotel cos it does not have the actual stds of a hotel. The 1st room i was given room 39 was dirty nbi has to go to reception to ask foe another one. The reception is deceiving cos it looks clean but joooo. From 1st floor the smell of the carpets is unbearable considering that its the breakfast place. Then the others floors n rooms are not welcoming from walls to carpets need a redo. In fact i regretted cos i wanted my family to have a great time but we did not cos i guess its mangement do not care

It was a nightmare , very very bad standard , people shouting and yelling every night until 2am in the morning , no towels , key to be reconfirm every days . Stolen close …. The worst stay in hotel possible .

Terrible Experience

The reception area was ok, and the lady assisting with the check in was helpful. However, I was deeply disappointed with the rest. As we stepped off the lift, we were welcome a not so clean looking passage way leading to our room. The room looked absolutely nothing like what we saw in the photos when we made our booking. It was an old and tired looking room that we were allocated. It just looked like it desperately needed some renovation. The bathroom was worse. I will definitely be not booking here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

What a horrible experience

This was unlike anything we've ever experienced The photos on web is not at all what you get. It is a filthy, smelly place. No water in rooms, no ice available..towels have holes in...just disgusting. I have complained just after our stay but nothing came of it....never ever again!!!

Staff were friendly! Check in went oke We walked up to our roam prostetutes everywhere , just dirty roam in general. A lot of noise! And then the biggest thing not a safe neighborhood at all just stay at the coast don’t go to the city

Hotel is right on the main street at a busy stop. Clean comfortable reception area. Strict on check in and heck out times of 10am and 2pm irrespective of arrival time. Rooms clean with a pungent smelling wair fresheners. 60rand I Breakfast not on the room. Threadbaŕe carpeting
