"I think that this would be a great hotel for a weekend getaway if you happen to live somewhere in the UK or even Europe. I was quite jetlagged upon arrival (9am) after 24 hours in transit over several time zones. I had asked in advance if I could check in early. I did not receive a response. Check in was officially 3pm. Upon arrival, they suggested that for 20 pounds I could check in at 2pm instead of 3pm. I was able to leave my luggage but was absolutely exhausted and had to wander around...

"There were very few guests and for whatever reason some of us were staying on the 3rd floor - 80 steps up. The winding last flight had an incomplete hand rail. Aged 78, I found the ascent with my luggage tiring. There was no bedside lamp, and the room was a bit cold. The extra blanket was needed. The hotel reminded me of the rented flats that I stayed in when I worked in Glasgow in the early 70’s. Shabby, but adequate. £120 per night was too much for that room on the 3rd floor. I would not stay there again. The staff were helpful and breakfast was fine."

"This was truly the best hotel that we stayed in while we were in Scotland! The only problem is that it is in Glasgow, and it is not even close to one of the prettiest places in the country. If you go to Scotland, you need to go to the Highlands or the Isle of Skye and not here. This hotel is awesome though!! The service was fantastic and the rooms and interior are beautiful. Be sure to take a few minutes to sit in the bar area and enjoy the quiet ambiance or sit the breakfast area and sip a coffee or tea. "

"Parking was a shambles. Had to just dump my car. Staff were friendly but no reception area so have to just walk around aimlessly until you find somebody No curtains on the windows, just a blind so as soon as it’s light, expect to be awake. The room I had faced the car park and enterprise building which had flood lights all night so the room was lit up! Hardly any sleep. No hairdryer or iron facilities in the room! Very basic"

"Hotel is very run down and in urgent need of an upgrade. Very disappointed overall, particularly as have stayed at other Leonardo hotels and they were great (hence why we booked this one). All staff were very friendly and helpful and it’s a shame that they have to work in an environment that is so run down. Upon complaining about general state of facilities we did receive a 50% refund, so big thanks to the manager for his understanding. The Leonardo chain should be ashamed that one of its hotels is in such a bad state."
