We only stayed for one night before heading to the airport, and it was perfect for that purpose. The location of the hotel provided everything we needed and more - good eats, good drinks and beautiful views. Our room amusingly looked out onto a tiny turfed, non‑accessible courtyard, and with the curtains open you could see people walking by in the adjacent hallway through the floor‑to‑ceiling windows — quirky, but harmless. We booked the cheapest room at a good rate, so no complaints there. The air conditioning worked well, though the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. If you stay here, you must eat at Casper & Giumbini’s just steps from the hotel — it was perfection. Overall, a convenient and perfectly fine overnight stay.

Nice stay at this hotel - overall the decor is a tad dated and could do with an uplift but hit said not take from the overall comfy and cosy stay and experience. Quality of bedding was excellent and I have to commend all and every staff I dealt with from check in through to breakfast staff and evening ba staff ( Harrys Bar) - everyone was super helpful, professional and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable. Truly!

Évènement sur place lors de notre nuit, musique, à fond, beaucoup de mal à pouvoir dormir. Je conseille de prendre la vue face mer sinon vous êtes face à un parking, qui éclairait toute la nuit. Et qui traverse la chambre, c’est comme s’il faisait jour.

Room was very comfortable. Probably a bit dated at this stage. TV etc, disappointed with the old fashioned type hairdryer in bathroom but overall a very comfortable sleep. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially a young man Paul who was at reception today and went out of his way to help an elderly relative. Breakfast was standard buffet. Expensive i felt but probably standard rate for hotels these days.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived so we had to wait 90 minutes from about 2pm to 3:30. The room was clean, but dated with stains on the carpet with a splitting seam in one corner, quite a bit of silicone caulking in the bathroom which had a very small shower stall for a suite. Biggest issue was finding the toilet lid up and urine in the toilet when we returned to the room after it had been cleaned. We always put the lid down and flush so someone else had used the toilet. That same day the replacement small carton of water was on its side on the nightstand instead of in the small room refrigerator so it felt like someone was interrupted while cleaning and didn't quite finish. Since we weren't in the room much it wasn't worth raising an issue, but we'll likely try another hotel the next time we're in the south Dublin area. A minor annoyance was the in-room coffee replenishment wasn't consistent. It started with four tubes of coffee (caffeinated) and we used two a day. Sometimes they would replenish one, and other times none. We had at least two tubes but

We had a lovely stay at the Royal Marine Hotel. Our room was spacious with three huge bay windows overlooking the sea, an enormous comfortable bed and an excellent shower. It was very clean, although a fresh coat of paint and some attention to the skirting boards would make it even better. The room was generally quiet, apart from some noisy neighbouring guests one evening. The spa was fantastic. The receptionist was incredibly friendly, welcoming and funny, and really made us feel at ease. My massage was a little firmer than expected (she was determined to find every knot! 😂). Unfortunately, I did have a skin reaction afterwards, although I'm still unsure which product caused it. During our stay I suffered an endometriosis flare-up. One receptionist struggled to understand our request for nearby painkillers and came across as quite abrupt. Thankfully, the barista staff ere wonderful. One lady, whose sister also has endometriosis, showed genuine kindness, directed us to a pharmacy and made sure I had water and everything I needed. On arrival, it would have been helpful if the hotel amenities and restaurant availability had been explained, especially as a wedding meant some areas weren't available that weekend. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and in a stunning location. The nearby DART station made travelling into Dublin quick and easy. The highlight of our stay was the afternoon tea.
