「A lovely little hotel slightly off the beaten track but within easy distance of Stirling and main routes to the highlands. Beautifully decorated. Excellent breakfast. The pub food is really good too should you need lunch or dinner. It was quite warm and humid when I visited with no a/c, although hotel provided a fan, which was helpful. It’s located at a busy intersection, so there is traffic, but given that it’s located in the country, there is still a sense of peace about it. Highly recommend.」

「Warmed welcome by our host with a tour of public areas and our room with garden patio. Loved tea/coffee and snacks on offer at any time and delicious home made bread at breakfast. Stunning views from lounge and local path into Stirling meant no driving to dinner.」

「This was a very cute little inn above the pub! That definitely gave the stay character, unfortunately it meant the noise could be heard from the pub below. This really wasn't a major problem though, as around 10:00 pm it was all but quite. The property is very convenient and right in the down town! The staff were fantastic! Very helpful and made us feel welcomed!」

「Disaster, we got in from Aberdeen by rail. I was with my older children and my wife. We intended to stay in the Harris room in the back by a car park.it had an overgrown unkept overgrown yard and safety felt like an issue. The security door was broken; would not lock and we had an overall creepy vibe. so bc my family weren’t happy we weren’t happy so just left for a nicer property.. The property needs someone to care and some TLC. We had a lot of luggage and the hotel was not conducive to tired...

「Charming historic hotel which has very recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The team at the hotel are very friendly and professional and the food is excellent. There are lots of walks around the hotel in the grounds and the lovely town of Callander on the doorstep. Is dog friendly too and highly recommend / also has a link to the Beatles and has a Beatles inspired bistro which is lovely.」

「Property was nice. Staff were very nice and seemed to be working hard to manage things. Some little things, like a quite dirty wardrobe, could be better. The rooms were nice but have the potential to be spectacular with a little creative and artistic effort.」
