The room was clean, the property was relatively quiet, the staff was friendly and helpful at the bar relating to the room. The restaurant bar is nice with decent food. Pet friendly is a plus! Close to the lake, a nice walking trail to town, and if you are a side by side person the trail is right out front.
Very easy check-in and very responsive housekeeping staff. The king size bed was the most comfortable I have found in staying in a hotel. Would definitely stay here again!!
The room was large we liked that and had a table so we were able to play games. Also liked the balcony. Never met anyone on the staff so hard to say if they were curtious or not. On Tuesday night you had an event (Queen of Hearts I think). When we cam back from hunting we were unable to find a parking place at least one that was anywhere near the hotel. It was very inconvienant. There should have been an area blocked off for guest staying there. We ended up going out to eat and coming back later that night. This is the reason I did not give you a 5 star rating.
The room was simple but clean and comfortable. It was conveniently located to food, gas, and of course, the lakes. I really liked the small lounge area with games. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent and the service was very friendly and capable.
The room was comfortable and clean. The food was delicious and our server was thoughtful and pleasant. Ottertail Lake had a fine beach with public access within a mile or so to the...south? Thanks for the great time!
Stayed 3 nights the 1st night was quite disturbing with live music in the bar and then carried out to the lobby. It was a convenient location to travel for family reunion at West Battle Lake
Large Clean room, with very comfortable beds. Quiet and good fittings. Fair price. Could have used coffee making in the room. Nice to have the microwave and fridge.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
This little hotel was amazing! No check-in fiasco it was all through an app. Lounge was a huge bonus so we didn't have to drive. Nice atmosphere & the staff were friendly. Food - YUM! The hotel itself was VERY quiet. Not a luxury hotel by any means, but we were only there to sleep & shower. Definitely recommend!
I can’t say enough about the otter! From the amazing staff, that goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Great gift shop, great restaurant inside the hotel clean and extremely comfy beds. Convenience of offsales in the building as well!
I travel extensively for work, for over 10 years, and this has by far been the best bang for your buck ever!!! Highly recommend!
Very convenient door lock for tech savy customers. They have an app that unlocks your door. Otherwise you just use the code provided. The rooms are clean and very quiet. The attached restaurant is really good service as well! Had amazing food and decent prices. Very good area for boat fishing or just getting on the water with family. Overall great experience for the outdoorsy.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Everything about the check in is remote. No staff on site. Restaurant is fine. The lake is beautiful but access to it is very limited with private properties lining the shore in the town site
Staff kept us well informed of contactless check-in procedures. Really like the keypad entry. Place was perfect for us. The only downside was the restaurant/bar clientele entering and exiting the building through the hotel side which made it louder than it should have been late into the evening. If they aren’t registered hotel guests, they should not be in that section of the building.
Woodsy theme. Cute otter blanket. Nice desk. Lounge area with games. Restaurant next door had good food and outdoor patio. Easy parking. Could see stars at night because there weren't too many lights. Easy code entry, didn't work the first time but then worked.
Would have liked a lamp on both sides of the bed.
Purposely stayed here even though in Detroit Lakes for business trip, wanted to try something different. Overall very happy. Only items that would be nice is to have Kleenex in bathroom or room but just used toilet paper instead, ability to charge restaurant meal to room would be nice for dinner in room and USB plug ins on nightstand would help to be closer for devices. Loved the easy check in and out and unlock door all through mobile device and ability to access your streaming accounts through Roku TV.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We booked online and the communication via Mail was fast and easy.
We got the code for the room and figured out, that we got an upgrade to a room with a balcony towards the street.
No traffic at night and all the guest from the bar downstairs behaved extremly well. No slamming cardoors or loud farewells.
The rooms would need a little more attention, but they where clean.
We had dinner in the restaurant.
What surprises us was, that all glasses had "waterdrops" on it. Every owner of a dishwasher would ad some salt and rinse andwould never put glassses like that on the table.
Well we’re probably not the standard profile for guests at this hotel (my sister bought a fixer upper home in a neighboring town so I’m in the area to help out somewhat regularly) but here’s why I’ve given pretty much 5 stars across the board:
1. The rooms are exactly what they are advertised as clean, comfortable, reasonably quiet even when the restaurant has live music and for those of us who work nightshifts the windowless room is an amazing bonus.
2. The dining is a get what you pay for kind of thing if you don’t mind paying for quality I highly recommend the prime rib dinner (served Friday and Saturday nights).
3. The patio is pet friendly so taking your dog to dinner is a great option (and they do serve the dogs at least a bowl of water as well— whoever came up with that idea needs a raise).
4. Convenient access to the main road, decently spacious parking lot if you happen to be pulling a trailer and great access (either option will work but motorized vehicles or the walking path will get you there) to gas stations/basic shopping.
