Realistic Review

Honestly. I was a little scared at first, but i also dont judge people based off of looks. Yeah it was a lil run down and yes it was a lil scetchy, BUT we stayed. Beds were cleaned no crazy bed bugs or stains. It was a place to stay and i am very thankful. The one female worker!! Appreciate you and all you do! Some of yall folks need to realize we are ALL HUMAN!!

Too much uncontrolled rif-raf just outside the lobby. Rooms smelled like nicotine. One could say that those things are to be expected because of the price.. but every place of business should have minimum standards. I will say, the staff was clear and concise about the rules, and was friendly.

Holiday Inn Clean?

Looking for last minute stay, I should have searched reviews. Not any ones fault however this place was not as expected with pictures online. For example, facilities are used to guest wanting to pay per/hour and request refund. Rooms were no "Holiday Inn's clean". Not complaining, just needed to sleep.

Required $100 refundable damage or $25 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Roof was filthy (with visible footprints all over floor, bathroom door was severely damaged. In all fairness, the bed seemed clean and I could smell the bleach. Avoid at all costs.

The only good thing about this hotel was the price and access to many vending machines inside. Staff is friendly. In the bathroom, they atleast provide free soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion bottle. The bad things would be the building itself lacks maintenance, repairs and so much more. The room was spacious but the bed sheets had marks on them, floor was dirty, bathroom lacked a good cleaning, there was a tv and you couldnt watch anything. Despite no smoking signs, the hallway smelled strongly of weed. I was lucky that i only needed a place to stay for 5 hrs. I even had to go buy blankets to sleep on the bed from how uncomfortable it felt. Property has so much potencial. Its a shame they dont put money in i.

The entrance and check in was fine. The front desk person was informative and easy to work with. The problems were once I got to my room. There was no trash cans in the room. The toilet paper was sitting on the sink. The holder was missing the rod. The shower curtain rod was not flexed outwardly. Instead if was bowing downward. The tub looked gross. I pulled the sheets back on the beds and found random small pieces of stuff. The TV remote was missing the back to hold in the batteries. Plus all I could hear was kids yelling and playing in the hall. The people next to me had children and they were moking the whining child very loudly. I thought I would go downstairs and take the stairs not elevator. When I pushed on the breaker bar door handle my finger came in contact with some sort of black caulk. I went back to my room and cleaned my hand off of caulk. Grabbed my bags took elevator downstairs and checked out. I told the front desk that the room had no trash cans and it was loud with children next door. I did not feel I was going to be able to have a relaxing stay or feel clean in this place. They charged $100 fee when I checked in for any incidentals. I did receive that back on Monday morning.

I am deeply unsatisfied with the appalling conditions and with the management of this establishment! If you value your safety & value a clean environment to sleep in; I would not stay at this hotel EVER!!!. I booked this hotel based upon the pictures on the internet from Hotels.com App. The fact that it was close to family members & within [Oak Park] area [which typically wasn't such a bad area, way back when growing up] made me assume that this would have been a decent pick based on location. Immediately upon arrival, I was a bit skeptical of few solicitors within the parking lot outside the hotel, looking skeptically at me, and some odd activities outside the hotel going on! But I proceeded as I had already pre-booked & pre-paid the room for my 4 night stay there. After quickly observing the environment and lack of security upon check-in; I could not stay! I was in & out of there after my 1st night stay; which was very disturbing, very unsettling and uncomfortable! This place does not appear habitable or safe as there seems to be a lot of shady dealings going on. This place was never QUITE at night! Irresponsible and disorderly behavior seems to be a norm here! This is not a place anyone should be subjected to! I Strongly discourage anyone contemplating to stay here; especially if you have children! I was a Mother travelling alone by myself with my 15yr old daughter & my 9yr old son. Absolutely horrible, truly scared for our lives. Not Safe at all! DNT GO THERE

I do not recommend booking here. I woke up with bedbug bites. And actually seen the bug crawling. I have videos and pictures. Additionally, I had to change my room three times and still ended up in a room like this. The bathroom was dirty. The toilet seat was broken. The bed sheets were tattered. The walls were damaged. It was not a good experience at all and I will be contacting corporate for a refund.
