On the other hand the bus stop was right outside and the tram stop only 5 minutes walk so easy to get to the city centre. But the key problem was communication with the owners. It came across as if it was all automated and they did not really care. I tried to find out about check in as sometimes samller places close check in early. No...

"Property was new and clean inside. No noise from other apartments. Overall a good stay. Nearby shop for food basics and near to the Tram line to go into town. No complaints. If security is a concern for you it is very lax here. Lobby door left open night and day, and security staff not a deterrent. Secure access tag for the elevator does not work, so open access to use the lifts. Overall though we saw no issues."

"We were impressed by the hotels appearance and the lovely flowers in the reception area and complimentary sweets. The swimming pool was very nice and warm and clean. The bed was comfy and room clean and well decorated. Unfortunately though, the walls were very thin and we could hear our neighbours quite clearly even though they weren't being particularly loud. Also we were checked out two days early in error, though the receptionist assured us we were still booked in for the duration. Then got an interim bill the next day which showed wrong room rates, which had to be amended. On check out the receptionist did not enquire if we had enjoyed our stay or even wish us a good journey or day. So all in all, a lovely hotel and amenities but not especially friendly staff or stress free billing system. Unfortunately for those reasons we would not consider staying again."

"Great hotel for a nights sleep in a good location. Area is very nice, don't let the old and tired look put you off. Big room, everything you needed, clean comfy bed, hot shower. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Reception manned 24/7. Included breakfast to take on the go was great. The sausage and bacon baps were great. Ideal for stopping off to sleep and head out in the morning. Plenty of free parking too. Restaurant next door was superb, and very good value."

"Only a 2 minute walk from Salford Central railway station and on a number of bus routes ( the bus stop in a minute away) I am not a driver but I believe parking is chargeable. The room was spacious and immaculate. Toilet and bathroom are separate, so if sharing that is an advantage. The TV was good and Freview is set up, no silly "Hotel Channels". Bed was really comfortable (and I am VERY picky about this!), Extra pillows and towels were available and also an iron and ironing board were in the room. Location-wise, the hotel is walking distance from Deansgate and the city centre. I will be using this hotel exclusively when visiting Manchester/Salford in the future. There seemed to be some building work taking place on trhe ground floor, I think it is an upgrade to the breakfast/dining area but not sure as it didn't impact my positive experience in any way."

"Lovely welcome from friendly staff . Everything was lovely and clean . We ate in the hotel Friday evening and the food was excellent . Breakfasts also excellent . Parking was a real bonus and it was only a 20 minute walk into the city centre . Only downsides were the lift waiting for replacement and you could hear every noise from the room up above which was very disturbing at 3-5 am on the Sunday morning . Otherwise we had a fabulous stay and would definitely recommend ."
