「Cozy lodge environment with modern clean rooms. Restaurant was great with awesome staff (understaffed though) and great service. Bar and restaurant close VERY early though. Not much space to relax by the water either. But all in all, great place - will definitely return.」

「2 story hotel but no elevator. Was told they only had a king room available on 2nd floor. A few steps (actually 13 to 15) wasn't bad. Room was clean, bed comfortable and breakfast was adequate. We didn't use the pool or fitness room so I can't say anything about those.」

「We have stayed at Cove Point Lodge many times over the past 10 years. Usually we stay in one of the cabins but the prices have increased so much and coming from Canada it's an additional expense. This time we stayed in a room at the lodge, while the room was very spacious, with a sofa and a balcony, it seemed a bit run down. The screen on the patio door was taped up and falling off. The bathroom mirror was filthy and streaked, the paint was chipping off the wall in places. The sink was...

「Linens and towels were clean and adequate. There was a mini coffee maker with a packet of coffee grounds provided. It made excellent coffee. I wish there had been more cups provided. The air conditioner was noisy- - I’m glad I had brought ear plugs! The room had little extra space, things were tight. The bathroom was cramped. I’m glad I am a small person, otherwise I might have had trouble sitting on the toilet as it was in a corner and when sitting there my knees were under the sink.」

「Eat at the restaurant at the hotel. It was the best. I’ll never have better north woods biscuits and gravy. Chicken tenders, burgers, fries, ribs, chicken parm were also all so good. It was great.」

「We had a great experience at the Stay Inn Ely. It was clean and our room was nice. It’s conveniently close to down town Ely and has easy access parking. The kitchen was well equipped and had coffee to make every morning. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!」

「Our 5 day visit in the cool springtime was lovely. the home is very clean, warm, comfortable and provides easy access to nearby state parks. we have stayed in places lacking, this was not lacking. we loved the back porch. we loved the fireplace. 」
