「Booked overnight stay as sailing from Southampton the next day. Lovely place, well equipped, clean and great situation. We got the train to Romsey and walked from the station, a nice flat walk, took about 20 minutes with our luggage. Breakfast was delicious, a great start to the day.
Graeme the owner was extremely accommodating and helpful, arranged transport into Southampton on the Saturday morning. Found a spare travel plug for us when we realised we had forgotten ours.

「I stay in around 100 places each year for work and this was bad.
Poor quality fittings and fixtures vey well used. No soap, shower door didn’t close, toilet on some kind of strange plinth. Laminate falling to bits. No Freeview or terrestrial tv, streaming only but WiFi is so bad it doesn’t work at peak times 2 mattresses on bed bottom one very grubby
I think it’s a converted garage.
May suit someone with low standards I ended up leaving after 2 nights stayed last night elsewhere 」

「The best part of this hotel is its staff. They were all very helpful and just delightful. It's not a modern hotel but is very charming. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance and shopping a 15 minute walk away. We loved this place and would stay here again. 」
