Stay was okay. Rooms need updating. Faucet in shower was nearly falling off the wall and leaking water; rust and water damage throughout room. Door molding that secures chain loose and not secure, door frame broken appearing as though someone tried kicking the door open. It is a plus that there is an indoor pool and a good refrigerator. Cost entirely too much for one night. In my opinion it looked like a spring breaker’s retreat

First let me say that I felt safe and secure at this location. I’m from a big city and we take safety seriously and I loved the fact that this hotel valued safety for guests. James was very friendly and helpful during our check in process. The room was spacious and stocked up with everything we needed. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and clients. This was my first time staying at Tropical Winds. It was pet friendly, and that was a bonus, so I decided to load up my best buddy, and ride over to Daytona Beach and give it a try. My room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a huge counter with lots of space. There were 5 large drawers in the room, so a good amount of space for clothes. There was a cute table with 2 chairs, and a nice large desk with a rolling chair. It also had a kitchenette with an oven, stove, full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave and a sink. The view of the ocean, from the room, was spectacular. The property, itself, was clean and comfortable. All the employees I encountered with were friendly and helpful. I especially liked the young lady (I’m sorry for not getting her name) with the gorgeous, turquoise, hair that worked at the front desk in the evenings. She checked me in when I arrived and was so informative and helpful. She gave my dog a treat the moment we walked in, and then she actually sat down on the floor and interacted with my kind of skittish and anxious dog. I thought it was incredibly kind of her to spend some time with him. 😊 I had a nice time. I will definitely be back!

Loud, large dog barking, people banging on my door all hours of the night, shower broke, sliding glass door didn’t lock. Telephone in the room didn’t work. Charged me when I checked in even though I had already paid, check-in is 4pm, couldn’t get my room till after 5pm. I’ve stayed here before (5 times), this was the worst stay.

Terrible hotel. Had to get our room changed because our initial room was terrible. Actually tried to book another hotel but everything was full. Our second room was better but the schedule to clean our room was terrible. Moved to the new room on Sunday and we did not get any room cleaning till Thursday. Had to beg for bathroom towels all week. The only bright spot was Kyle who did his best to assist in anything.

Pool was clean. room was spotless. Balcony overlooked the ocean. Staff was wonderful and got us into the room immediately. He recommended great restaurants and we heard crashing waves all night with an overall amazing experience.

L'hôtel de dehors ne représente pas les chambres qui sont plus belle que l'extérieur. Par contre ou lala que ça sent la marijuana partout dans l'hôtel.vue sur mer tout simplement magnifique. Lit extrêmement inconfortable mais pour une nuit on a survécu. Un peu de moisi dans le cadrage des porte patio mais sinon assez propre. I have mixed feelings about my stay. On one hand, the staff was wonderful; they truly tried their best to resolve the issues we encountered. However, the property is in desperate need of a serious update. Our room was unfortunately quite dirty—specifically the floors, which needed a deep scrub. While the maintenance team did fix our TV issues, it took until the third day of our stay. Additionally, the kitchen was poorly stocked and lacked basic dishes and pots. The location is excellent, but until the rooms are renovated and cleaned more thoroughly, it’s hard to fully enjoy the stay.

Pro's: room was clean and smelled good, parking lot felt safe, good price compared to nearby competitors, dog friendly, on the beach. Potential areas of improvement: To sum it up, they need more staff, we waited ~20minutes at the front desk with 2 other families waiting to be checked in. It was after 4pm and the rooms weren't ready. When the gentlemen finally came to the front desk, it turned out he was trying to help catch up on laundry <3. The dog fee online indicates $20 but they were asking for $70 at the desk upon checkin- this feels like a huge discrepancy considering I chose this venue due to what i had believed was a reasonable dog fee, likely wouldnt have booked if i knew it was $70

The staff was mean, had an attitude and would not even look at you. Check in was at 4 and did not get a room till 6:30. Staff did not apologize or offer any accommodations since I paid for a full night but technically did not get a full night. No entry from pool to beach. You have to walk around the building and walk in by car beach entrance. Great view from room facing beach.

Upon checkin, the guy at the desk never smiled or greeted us, just asked, “Are you checking in?” He seemed overwhelmed, but not really friendly at all. At 12:15am we were wakened by someone sliding an advertisement into our room doorframe! How does this even happen? Do the side doors to the building not lock? My girlfriend was scared and she highly encouraged me to not confront the person. I was told in the morning upon checking out to notify the manager, “They may want to know.” I was appalled that they were not only aware of this, but appears to be an ongoing problem!! The room was adequate.

When we arrived the room and kitchen were very clean. But soon realized the hotel was not what we expected. There weee signs that due to being Eco friendly the room would be cleaned every 3 days. We were there for 5 and the room was never cleaned. If it was not for us emptying and taking out our own garbage, making our own beds and cleaning the sinks ourselves, it would have not gotten done at all. There was one ice machine for all 8 floors and it was in the lobby. If we wanted clean towels, we had to “turn in” our wet used towels to the front desk first,to show we were not stealing towels. The view of the ocean was beautiful and most of the employees were kind and helpful, however you could tell their hands were tied by management’s directive The cafe on sight serves delicious food and the servers were very friendly

We got there at 2:30 to check in and was told that our room was not ready but to come back in an hour......which is fair, technically check in isnt until 4pm......came back still not ready. There were other people who were also waiting to check in.....no explanation was given but just to come back later or get our money back and go somewhere else.....we didnt get checked in until 630pm. And then the clerk said there was a problem.with my payment and it didnt go through and that i would have to contact expedia?????? I gave him the same card i used on expedia and it went right through??????? The entire property needs updated, elevators smelled like Marijuana, and the steps out back still have not been fixed, there were several cars in the the parking lot that didnt have tags and had people hanging out. Didnt feel very safe. Not sure if we will stay again ,we love the location on the beach! Weve stayed here many times over the past few years and feel like the hotel in general isnt as nice as it used to be.
