「The location was brilliant. There was good equipment in the kitchen and the sitting room was comfortable with a great tv. Others have mentioned the water is a bit temperamental but it didn’t affect our stay. I think it could benefit from a deep clean. It wasn’t dirty but needed a bit more care. 」

「This is my favourite hotel. Full of character, a stones throw from the beach and the town. The most helpful, friendly staff. I especially love their breakfast, which as a dairy free vegetarian there is always plenty of options. I always choose to stay at the Royal Beacon when I’m breaking a long journey from Cornwall to up country. Amazing value for money.」

「Another lovely stay at the Manor. Staff very welcoming. Room comfortable but be prepared for old fashioned. If you want newer and more uniform, pay a lot more at the Premier inn with its scaffolding still!! I like Exmouth's old hotels they have character and offer GVFM . We didn’t have breakfast but did have food in the bar the evening before which was excellent. Book parking ahead of your stay as it’s limited. Out the front there are public spaces, but v limited.」

We never were able to use our reservation and did not stay after paying in full. I called earlier in the day to confirm, and they gave me the lockbox location and code, but upon arrival by taxi (after midnight) there were no keys in the box, leaving us alone outside with no car.
