"We loved the location. We love San Clemente and all it has to offer. The support person on the phone was very helpful. It’s a great unit. We were very comfortable there. We would return in the future. There are a few things that need to be looked at a little closer. The toilet kept clogging up. Especially when there were more people in the building upstairs. "So obviously the location was our first purpose for booking let me tell you I have traveled for work and spent many of nights in hotels for business or pleasure I have met many staff members over the years, all the stuff that I ran into at this Best Western were excellent friendly, welcoming and very helpful when the times came I had an issue with the Expedia looking process and being disappointed and one of the staff members Napoleon without hesitation made one of my nights even more awesome than it already began and it had nothing to do with the company just the booking agent Expedia. Whomever manages this place and hires their employees as a small business owner myself and Prides myself in whom works for me and how they manage themselves I feel like this property owner and management team takes great pride versus just finding whomever they can off the streets to fill a void. Thank you Best Western Dana Point"

"Loved the location, proximity to the ocean and view from the 2nd floor. The staff gentlemen were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. I loved to listen to the waves with the half door open and the record players in the rooms was a beautiful touch. Bed was comfy and shower pressure was 100/10 amazing. It was a tad loud being on the 101 and near the train tracks. The only thing I didn’t like was the very difficulty entry and exit with a low clearance car because my bumper struggled each time to get in with the bumps and oncoming traffic. The other thing of issue was that my first room (31) had a window that did not latch for locking and then when they rearranged my stay and put me in another room (13), there were no locks on the windows at all. I was placed into a 3rd room (21) which everything was great and secure, though I will say for the sake of safety especially for solo female travelers the windows should be revamped! Otherwise, it was a great stay and I would absolutely stay again and recommend."

"I understand that this is a very high end resort and spa, but the fact there we received no forewarning that more than half the resort was closed off for remodel made our stay less than desirable. Staff was helpful and friendly. But the available amenities were not accommodating for the amount of guests present. For the amount of money paid this was not worth the cost."
