"It is an older Buddhist temple and feels wonderful to be in a place with such character and history. The meals (all are vegetarian in accordance with Buddhist tradition) are a delicious delight. This is from one who is not a vegetarian! The service is personal and sincerely caring. I would recommend visiting Daisen and staying there. "

"Owner is very nice, they provide free Onsen which is hot enough and they also allow me to go shower and onsen after I check out to hiking on Daisen. The location is very close to bus stop, very convenient."

Was only sent the unlocking number after I messaged (did not receive an email that was supposed to be sent 24 hrs before check-in). "This is a rather old hotel. It took us a while to locate it, because the name of the hotel was changed. Onsens were very dark, small and uninviting. Buffet dinner and breakfasts were plentiful in volume, but not in quality. It did not offer hardly any fresh sea foods. "
