「Accessing the hotel defeated my sat-nav (there is only one route in) and the property, once located, lacks kerb appeal. However, the proprietess was very friendly and helpful, the rooms are large and spacious though they would have benefitted from a more efficient heating system. for a pub in a central location, it was surprisingly quiet at night. Breakfast was cooked to order and was plentiful. For the price it is excellent value. A good place for an overnight stay. 」

「Friendly staff and newly decorated comfortable room. We had a great night in the bar with the locals. We did eat in the bar, and the food was very tasty. We did have a dog with us and he was also made to feel welcome with a doggy welcome pack, which was a nice touch. 」

Lovely flowers fruit and homemade shortbread made it a special treat.
