"A very nice hotel in an historic building. The rooms were clean and well designed. That occupies an excellent location right in the center of town. Staff is very pleasant. The food was surprisingly good."

"Room was very small and a very small shower. However it was very quiet even with the window constantly open because of the heat outside. The bed was very comfy, and the flask of fresh milk for the coffee was a very nice change from the small cartons as you get in most places. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very good and with a wide choice. However I did notice that some of the yoghurts were actually 3 or 4 days past their use by date. I am sure that this was just an oversight as everything else was very good service and quality. There was a nice restaurant and bar with several real ales from the local brewery on every evening "

"I had a really happy night in Grassington Lodge . The room was spacious , with a sofa plus table and chairs. Clear instructions were sent to me about how to access my room. I was left real milk for my drinks and the bed was ultra comfy. Everything looked clean and pristine. The pubs, shops and walks are minutes away too so not having food available isn’t inconvenient. Especially if you like exploring. It’s a perfect place to stay. "

"We stayed for one night, June 2025, I wish it had been longer! From start to finish, everything about our stay was lovely. Picturesque building in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room in the private car-park. The staff could not have been friendlier. We ate an evening meal in the pub and it was really lovely. Plenty of choice on the menu, reasonably priced and the food was excellent. Our room was spacious and looked as if it had been recently decorated. Comfortable bed, well-appointed bathroom, plenty of amenities. All you would expect from a really good hotel, let alone a country pub. Breakfast was lovely - well cooked, beautifully presented and ample quantities. I can't recommend The Wheatsheaf highly enough! Thank you!"
