PICNIC in COTTER AVENUE… This idyllic setting is a perfect place for a picnic lunch and a relaxing afternoon. It is on the road out to Tidbinbilla roughly 23kms from the city centre. Nestled by the river is Cotter Avenue.
During autumn the leaves on the large populus alba trees start turning golden and fall like snowflakes from the cool breeze. We loved playing in the fallen leaves and making fun memories.

PICNIC in COTTER AVENUE… This idyllic setting is a perfect place for a picnic lunch and a relaxing afternoon. We originally stumbled across this spot back when we first visited Canberra’s Deep Space complex roughly 6 years ago and I have been dreaming of returning ever since.

This place has provided us with many more fond memories and again has left us with a yearning to return. Perhaps next time, we may try the camp grounds.

There are plenty of picnic tables, BBQ facilities, a clean amenities block and ample shaded spots to pull out the picnic rug. The kids like mine will love the large playground with swings, see-saw, a large climbing frame and a basketball court.
