"Functional clean facility with free parking at quayside 50m from the property. Room has lovely view of Loch Fyne.
We stayed in Tarbert for 1 night due to the location to catch the ferry to Islay from Kennacraig which is 15 minutes away.
Really spacious room and breakfast is delivered in the morning at your specified time you just complete your menu requests the night before. Would certainly stay again if across in this part of idyllic Scotland."

"The Anchor was a convenient stay for us as we needed to be close to the ferry to take us to Isla. The staff were very pleasant and check-in was easy. Parking was across the street and convenient as well. The rooms are very small and dated but clean and comfortable. There is a pub next door and many people were enjoying the World Cup so it got pretty noisy but we were able to sleep. We had a fabulous dinner in the Anchor's restaurant. I have a shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate. Tarbert is a wee fishing town so there isn't much going on but we enjoyed walking around and climbed the hill to see the old castle which gave spectacular views. We wandered in a few shops and had nice chats with everyone. Breakfast was spectacular and we left for Isla well rested and ready for our journey. Thank you!"
"We were there to see friends and to celebrate my husbands 80th Birthday.
I got a call from a friend on Sunday afternoon, saying she had phoned the hotel on the Monday before and asked them to put a bottle of wine in our room for his Birthday. She also left note saying who it was from and to wish him happy birthday. They said they would call her back, which they didn't. We got back to our room late afternoon and the wine was there with no note. Fortunately she had phoned to tell me, otherwise we wouldn't have known who it was from. It was a bit disappointing from the hotel point of view."
"A lovely resort. We were only there for two nights so we stayed in the hotel.
The property is lovely to wander around and we took advantage of the outdoor patios. Each floor had a washing machine and dryer, also equipped with an ice maker and sink. It was unclear at the time if we had to pay for the use of the pool (we didn't), but it seems to be based on what package you've purchased.
We ate at the Cruize restaurant on site and everyone loved their dishes!
Would definitely recommend!"
"Host was friendly and helpful, check in was quick and easy, room was spacious clean and nicely decorated, breakfast was was lovely, lovely place would highly recommend"
"Lovely clean room, we didn't get a Loch view which was a shame but that's how it is.
Room was ideal for our overnight stay
Bed was comfortable but strangely small for a "double" bed
The one disappearing thing was the lack of plugs in the room, there wasn't one anywhere near the dressing unit, where my wife would of used her hairdryer and straighteners, even with the extension lead we brought, she ended up sitting at the window with a shaving mirror. Not ideal."
